"Morning Joe" lovebirds Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski wed last Saturday in a private ceremony at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. They apparently pulled some strings to secure the location. Like, just about breaking federal law.
It was the first time a wedding ceremony had been held in that spot since the building opened in 1935. Brzezinski told Vanity Fair that the couple chose the hallowed American location after attending a previous event there, saying, It makes sense now more than ever, given what we stand for as a couple, what we do for a living, and what were worried about as a country.
Apparently, the couple wasnt worried about published federal regulations barring primarily personal, political or fundraising events within the National Archives. Federal rule 1280.84 specifically says, ... the use of the Rotunda for private events is not permitted. And rule 1280.76 says that even permitted, official events are not available during weekends or federal holidays. The wedding was held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, after the Archives building was closed to the public. (Washington City Paper)
Social media users were not impressed that this was another case of "special treatment for the elites."
Apparently rules and regulations are just for normal folks. Is there any surprise the flyover country looks on DC with distaste? bankshot (@CoolHandLuke124) November 28, 2018
Still, Archives Foundation executive director Patrick Madden said the "Morning Joe" couple convinced the Archives to be a little more flexible on its private event policy.
"We were thrilled to be the venue Scarborough and Brzezinski selected for their wedding," Madden said.
In another interesting twist, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) officiated the ceremony.
Congratulations to Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough! It was a pleasure to officiate your beautiful wedding. I wish you years of love and happiness together! Elijah E. Cummings (@RepCummings) November 25, 2018
All about communism. How sweet.
The FBI will be knocking on their door in....never.

§ 1280.84 May I ask to use the Rotunda?
The Rotunda is primarily used for the public exhibition of the Charters of Freedom and other documents from NARA’s holdings.
NARA also uses the Rotunda for activities that further its Strategic Plan. Therefore, the use of the Rotunda for private events is not permitted.
NARA may, upon application, permit other Federal agencies, quasi-Federal agencies, and State, local, and tribal governments to use the Rotunda for official functions, with NARA as a co-sponsor.
Governmental groups that use the Rotunda for official functions must reimburse NARA for the cost of additional cleaning, security, and other staff services.
Yep. Lori Klausutis wont get to have her wedding there...or, anywhere.
Right, Joe?
Mika be good with that?
Sure, we’re all equal and some are more equal than others.

IT'S BEEN ALMOST EIGHT years since Clinton-era national security adviser Sandy Berger smuggled classified documents out of the National Archives that detailed his boss's efforts to thwart terrorist threats to the millennium celebrations. The crime cost Berger $50,000, 100 hours of community service, his security clearance, and his law license. But the agents who went after him haven't forgotten. "It weighs on you," says Archives Inspector General Paul Brachfeld.
Did Sandy Berger catch the bouquet and stuff it in his panys?
Now they can have sex. Yeuck
they just keep adding to the list of selfish manipulative things they do for the only reason of pleasing themselves.
They got married in front of the Constitution.
Mark Levin said they should have gotten married in front of the rest room.
>>Now they can have sex. Yeuck
As if their divorces weren’t because they were already having the sex

All three of them - Scarborough, Brzezinski, and Cummings belong in jail.
Fire the Archive Director who approved this blatant violation of regulations.
If the Mouning Schmoe was pretending to be a conserative this would be a problem but now? Not so much.
A trash dump wasn’t near?
