Can’t the father get a second opinion from a different therapist? The idea that at age 8 the poor kid is going to be given castrating hormones and rushed to mutilating sugery is sickening. Kids that age cannot deside their gender, it is the nut case mother and the therapist that are pushing a normal male into a living hell and likely cancer from the hormone treatments.

This sounds really sad. I can’t tell if the story is contrived because the way it’s written, he isn’t fitting the dx for gender dysphoria. He is also way too young to make any major decisions. However, for his health, his behavior, dress, and choice of toys should be HIS OWN and not the parents’. At the age of 6, gender is HUGE for children as they learn to socially identify. They are messing him up royally. I hope they homeschool him.

You know, the vast majority of accident death by falling occurs in the home. Slipping getting out of the shower is a big one. Especially if the last person who showered accidently spilled a heap of body oil in the floor. I know if I were the father there is nothing I would not do to protect my child from anyone, including the mother.
