Ocasio-Cortez: A New Depth of Stupidity?

Newly-elected Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the gift to conservatives that keeps on giving. Her ignorance is so profound that it still surprises us, even when we thought we had fully plumbed the depths of her vacuity. This tweet, with Candace Owens’s response, is a classic:

1) Ocasio-Cortez says in order to fund Medicare for everyone “you just pay for it”, and says she’s puzzled by questions about how we can afford it.

2) Ocasio-Cortez says she can’t afford an apartment in D.C.

You can see the disconnect from reality in those two statements. She has no problem with imaginary funding of a trillion dollar program, but she has trouble coming up with a few thousand a month for an apartment.

She’s an airhead that proves a college education doesn’t make you wise.

I doubt she has any idea that the Roosevelt administration denied entry to Jewish refugees (the St. Louis), ultimately only took in only a handful of refugees and behind the scenes worked against the Western countries taking in meaningful numbers of Jewish refugees.

Of course, the reality was by 1939 the Nazis were letting very few out anyway.
