Former President Obama met with former President George H.W. Bush in Houston on Tuesday prior to a speaking engagement at Rice University, Bush's spokesman said.
"The two had a very pleasant and private visit at the Bush residence, where they rekindled what was already a very warm friendship," Bush spokesman Jim McGrath wrote on Twitter.
Obama was scheduled to speak at a forum at the Baker Institute at Rice University on Tuesday night.
Obama and his wife, Michelle, saw Bush in April when they attended Barbara Bush's funeral in Houston.
George H.W. Bush, 94, has dealt with health issues in the time since. He was hospitalized the day after his wife's funeral for an infection, and was released after about two weeks.
Wonder if he’s up to playing grab a** with his nurses, handlers now?

It was GHW Bush that originally implemented the bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of laws and borders to fundamentally transform this country, whether we wanted it or not, that continued through the next four Presidents.

I was stunned when Jeb had the stones to run, and even more stunned that the GOP establishment anointed him the presumptive nominee. That was when I truly know how insidious the Bush grip on the GOP was. They are a patrician version of the Clintons, all the "we know better, peasants" attitude without the thievery.
