WASHINGTON (Reuters) - After capturing the U.S. House of Representatives with a campaign that spoke of holding President Donald Trump accountable, some powerful House Democrats are now urging restraint and a focus on policy, at least at the outset.
An aggressive examination of the president is still needed, senior lawmakers and aides told Reuters. But Democratic leaders are trying to chart a measured path forward from early January when they will take over the House from Trump's Republicans.
That path will seek to avoid igniting political battles, for now, over matters such as Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, as well as possible collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign and obstruction of justice.

Many Democrats want to probe these volatile topics, using subpoenas to get at documents and testimony they say Republicans have ignored for two years, lawmakers and aides said.
Everyone has ignored Hillary for two years as well, no?

Everyone has ignored Hillary for two years as well, no? Lock her up first, then the Democrats can probe other things, maybe themselves.

They are like a dog who, chasing a cat, catches it then freaks out about what to do with it. I guess realizing their prey, the cat, is stronger than the dog is in ways the dog is weak.

Could it possibly be that certain democrats are afraid Trump and his DOJ could open some cans of worms on certain democrats?
The filthy rotten dem party has a lot to hide right now and Trump has access to powerful tools that could spell the end for them and they know it. So, so much low-hanging fruit that could hang all of them.
Pray for Trump now like never before.

Apparently, the RATs weren’t watching the 44 rallies Trump held recently where the crowds were huge and enthusiastic.
If not for the Marxist RAT voter fraud, anyone wonder how the midterms would have turned out in the House???
The numbers in the midterms don’t add up other than voter fraud, IMO.

If no investigations of Trump, what’s Adam Schiff going to do with his life?

They remember 1996. Impeachment and ongoing investigations tend to be poison

This is hardball politics. Senate can counter the house investigations, but whom in the senate would they target that would slow the breaks in the house ? Schumer, Durbin, Sanders ?
Perhaps they've not limited any counter investigations to senate members. Why couldn't they target Schitt, Nadler, Waters, et al.

...or more likely DJT doesn't need the senate committees to investigate, but his AG's office. Crooks are crooks, no matter where they reside., and POTUS is the nations chief law enforcement officer.
We know DJT has gamed this out, knowing what's coming, so lookout dems.

Hilary and Obama and Lyn ch for a Coup. Feinstein for withholding evidence from her committee. Schiff for leaks from the intelligence committee. Sumer for taking bribes from FB including his daughter’s job. Maxine for inciting violence. Cory booker for being an idiot. Cummings for leaking information. If i had more time I would think of others.
