I have an 04 F150 with 185k miles on it. I am in no rush to replace it for the same reason you have for not replacing yours.

My 1999 F150 4x4 5.4L V8 has 64000 miles on it. I drive it infrequently. Purchased used in 2003 with 22500 on the odometer. Most of the new mileage happened from 2010 to 2014 on 1850 mile round trips between Pocatello, ID and San Diego, CA. Usually towing a trailer with a motorcycle (Kawasaki Versys, Harley XL1200R, Harley FXDX). Once in San Diego, the F150 was parked and I burned up 20,000 miles on each motorcycle commuting to work. 46 to 53 MPG on the bikes. Lane splitting to avoid the parking lot freeways. I haven't put 500 miles on the F150 since Sept 2014. Most of the bikes have been parked. I purchased a Yamaha SR400 (2016). The bike gets 66 MPG on regular gas. I managed to put 700 miles on the SR400 in 2018. Too damn busy.

My last GM car was a 1973 Olds Omega. Inline 6, 3-speed manual, manual steering, manual brakes. Easy maintenance. Traded in 1985 for a Ford T-Bird.
