People in the know in DC had this information and more regarding Mueller and not just the DemonRats. The Republicans went along with his selection, as well as Sessions recusal.
They did not care and likely many of the GOP Trump Haters were on board with allowing Mueller to go after Trump using any means necessary, including imprisonment of innocent people (something he did while in Boston).
