Small acts in your daily life that can have a big impact on the planet(BARF!)

It's pretty terrifying to realise that we are "the first generation that knows we are destroying the world, and could be the last that can do anything about it," as the WWF puts it.

However daunting it is, when it comes to thinking about climate change as a whole, being overwhelmed and shutting down makes zero sense, because individual acts can make a huge difference.

Like firing up the volcano in your yard to make burgers.

You can amplify your efforts by adding a tire once in a while. Thanks for the effort. 👍🏼🔥

One of my FB friends was lamenting how badly she felt every time her mother’s heat kicked on while she was visiting because of the damage to the planet. She lives in AZ. Her mother lives in NC.
I asked her if she walked there.

I could've done without the guilt...but I, and a lot of people I know, are doing most of these already.

I pick up trash in my yard, or neighborhood, when I see it. Not to "Save the Earth", but because I don't want to look at a pile of trash some idiot tossed out their window. Veggie for a day? Well, probably, if I thought about it. But it would be because it tastes good, not for useless virtue signaling.

And, I don't waste electricity or H2O, partially because I'm cheap, and partially because I can still hear my dad saying "Shut the door! Turn off the lights! Do you think we own stock in the power company?!!" The rest of the list...meh. Most people don't waste paper. At the local gas station, most people I see have a re-fillable coffee cup, because it's cheaper. (Dunno about Starbucks, I don't go there). And so on.

Saving the earth? Where come from, this list is called "Common Sense". But, the author needs to pose virtuously to make herself feel good, and the intended audience ain't the most sensible group...

My problem is not with conservation or anything like that. I have all LED lights, I wear a sweater in the winter, and I drive a fuel efficient car. My problem is that I am very suspicious about what the real end game is. We all know that whatever measures are enacted, they will never be enough. Those of us who grew up in the 60’s have seen this pattern over and over. The moment old demands are met, new more stringent demands are made. What do they really want? Human extinction? I really wonder if that is not their ultimate goal.

FACT: Humans exhale CO2.

SUGGESTION: If any humans believe CO2 is polluting earth, they should do their part and stop exhaling.

This Marxist crapola has infested the Catholic Church here in Tucson too. The monthly diocese newspaper has a big article pleading for Catholics to save the earth from its coming destruction.A globull tree ring expert from the UofA, one Katie Hirschboeck, penned a large article ignoring the concrete examples right in front of her in the tree rings. It seems as if the madness of Rome has finally filtered down to the pews.

HA Yes. Good one. The most liberal people I know travel extensively, and take an overseas trip at least once each year.

A bunch of breathless airhead useful idiots who are the tools of, call them communists, who want to tear us down.

Some of these envirowackos are certifiable and scared to death of destroying the erf. They have made the children the same.

What is in in for the likes of algore? More money. That is the root of it and you are correct, the demands never end.

If you can tell me why they do this you can explain liberalism and that my FRiend has never been something any sane person can do or understand.

PS. I do nearly the same as you. I don’t have money to burn but I don’t need a nanny state telling me what to do or forcing me to do it.

I dispose of all my used solvents, paint, and toxic chemicals in the swamp ... er, I mean wetland ... down the road. I figure it kills mosquitoes and helps slow the spread of malaria.

No need to thank me.

She has traveled to China and Europe recently. Several flights in the US. Like most liberals, she wants YOU to obey.

CAGW Virtue Signalers should walk the talk and cease producing CO2. Otherwise there will be no progress towards their goal.

They appear to be deniers by their inactions.

Paper is sustainable and renewable. It is still a set of innovation that has long withstood the test of time and expense.

Here are some easy ways to halt supposed global warming, but it will take overbearing government to do it:

1. Halt human reproduction. After 2 children, both father and mother must be forcibly sterilized. In about 80 years, the world population will be halved to 3.6 billion. In 100 years, 2 billion. Problem solved.

2. Forced confiscation of all firearms world wid. Will be necessary because of the revolution forced in item 1.
