Governor-elect Gavin Newsom's wife has gone through several titles as a political significant other: first, "first girlfriend," as she started dating the then-mayor of San Francisco. Now, Jennifer Siebel Newsom wants to be known as "first partner."
Siebel Newsom, a documentary filmmaker, started dating Newsom, 51, in 2006, after his divorce from Kimberly Guilfoyle was final. The two married in 2008, while he was mayor. Newsom was elected lieutenant governor in 2010. The two have four children.
Guilfoyle, 49, is now dating Donald Trump Jr., the son of President Trump.

What is it with these striving women entitling themselves for affirmation after latching on to these tarnished stars? Even Bubba Clinton’s ‘ho s thought of themselves as the first ho, that is, after all the others.
It’s a bit of a surprise that Ms Newsome is so willing to ditch the title First Lady for the sake of ‘inclusivity’.
Most women I know would love to hold that description and would wear it proudly.
This sounds like someone from an upper class background who now feels guilty about having all these advantages.

I’m going to change focus for a quick minute and dare to say something ‘nice’ about the new California Governor. This has nothing to do with his progressive policies.
He’s a lucky man to have all those children and a wife who seems loyal. In every family photo I’ve seen, the children seem devoted to him and very much at ease. So he must at least be a decent parent when away from the camera.
I’ve seen him before in Kentfield, where they have a house. Kentfield is a small college town/bedroom community in Marin County. At that time, Gavin was still doing some of his own grocery shopping. I don’t know about now. Some of the female cashiers were Starstruck and a little silly.
Gavin was very polite to them, and dealt with the Cougar Flirting.
