Newly-elected representative Ocasio-Cortez of New York said "people will die" if action isn't taken now. Ocasio-Cortez fired off this Tweet in response to the 1,656-page report.
"People are going to die if we don’t start addressing climate change ASAP. It’s not enough to think it’s “important.” We must make it urgent. That’s why we need a Select Committee on a Green New Deal, & why fossil fuel-funded officials shouldn’t be writing climate change policy."
Her message on the worldwide web comes not long after she sent a message of wanting healthcare and college for Americans, and "our climate to be saved from cataclysmic disaster."

Perhaps she should DEMAND the u.n. do a study to find out just what’s behind the 100% death rate around the world.
What about the Scandinavians saying we should all stop flying.

Yeah, and beyond the deaths, there is the wiping out of everything in some people’s lives. We just had a call from a friend whose family home WAS in Paradise. She and her siblings had maintained the place as a family retreat. It was, as it was when her parents lived there. Now everything about her parents and their lives is gone! Thankfully, none of her family were using the place when the fire hit!

If she wants to be a player in the ‘clean energy’ craze, then she should use her energy and newfound fame on moving us to Thorium.

Attempting to dress it up as economics or pocket book or bread and butter. But let's look at the productivity of a surface coal miner (from EIA): 10 short tons per hour which produces 19,270 kWh of electricity. There are overhead costs but compare that to solar. A "solar" worker might install 5 panels an hour in an industrial scale facility (lower productivity in residential solar). Those 5 panels will produce 2,000 kWh in the first year of operation. Obviously they will have to operate for 10 years to equal the hourly output of a coal miner.
It's a new New Deal, full of make-work, just like old New Deal which suppressed economy growth for 10 years.

People will be better off. We use five times as much energy for heating as we do for cooling and it costs 3X. The recent New England cold snap is getting less frequent. Cold kills and less cold is better.

A HELL of a lot more people are going to die under socialism, but does she care about THAT? And there are facts to back that up.
Of course, the solution to all problems (to the dim Dims) is a committee. Government solves all problems.
What is interesting is that she is youmg amd obviously impressionable. Should be still open to geoengineering as an issue, though her bread is buttered from the left and she is obviously an idiot, so I don’t expect her overall politics could be shifted.

Long ago I gave up trying to argue the merits of climate change or no climate change caused by humans.
I realized over time, that the "issue" (climate change) with these clowns is never the issue. The issue has always been and still is, their socialist revolution.
They want to destroy capitalism by eliminating fossil fuels and install a government-run system that the elites control.
Socialism, the system that has never worked anywhere or at anytime in history without failing big time. Examples abound. Venezuela is just the latest failure.
So my question now is always, what are you (the climate change enablers) going to do about it? What "action" needs to be taken right now to prevent death and destruction?
I want specifics. What exactly to they propose? Planting trees? Subsidizing solar and wind even more than they are now? Neither one is ready for prime-time yet. Algae-fueled vehicles like Obama suggested? How safe would you feel in an airliner flying on pond algae?
What they want is our money. They want to pick our pockets of our hard-earned money. Just give it to them to line their elitist pockets and do nothing about changing the climate. They never offer any other solutions but they need our money.
It is the height of absurdity and arrogance to think that humans have caused the climate to change to begin with and then to think that we can alter it for the better. It's a pipe dream of liberals to make the climate static instead of changing. The climate has always changed and always will. It has never stayed the same.
I still don't have specific answers as to what these idiots will do about climate change. Because, like everything else they do, they lie about their intentions to get your votes and then continue on their socialist/communist agendas.
Right behind Americans illegally electing a foreign-born president in Obama, climate change will go down in history as one of the biggest hoaxes and scams around.
