I'm enjoying "G.I. Jams" Kathy, and love to see the happiness it brings to so many vets, their friends and families. But I have to admit that I'm tiring of being the promoter, recruiter, stage manager, sound-man, MC, music director and roadie for the whole she-bang - I don't get to play much music because I'm coordinating the chaos and trying to keep it from devolving into "Saturday at Guitar Center" cacophony. I supply the drum kits, front, back and second-line percussion gear as well as a formidable sound system. The travel alone takes four 20 mile round trips, all day to load-in, set-up and most of the night to strike the stage and load-out. I need to find me some young-bloods to do the heavy lifting sooner or later - else my aching back and that "dear heart" o'mine is gonna 'splode and they'll have to call a CODE BLUE on me.

If I have time this evening, I'll post some photos from Veteran's Appreciation Week as my Veteran's and Family Advisory Council finally got to host a ceremony for a POW/MIA "Missing Man" table and dedicated a permanent POW/MIA chair at the main entrance.
