Of course they had arrows. Why would they be carrying bows without the arrows? I was replying to someone who thought they might be trying to construct a message in the sand with what he/she apparently believed were sticks or reeds.
The bows would not concern me. It is the arrows that those bows shoot that make me nervous. An arrow through the gut has been known to ruin one’s day.
