US President Donald Trump hinted Tuesday he may drop his boycott of the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner because there’ll be no comedian on the program.
“So-called comedian Michelle Wolf bombed so badly last year at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner that this year, for the first time in decades, they will have an author instead of a comedian. Good first step in comeback of a dying evening and tradition! Maybe I will go?” Trump tweeted.
Wolf delivered a controversial star turn at the latest dinner, mercilessly — some argued cruelly — sending up White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders, who was seated on the dais with her.
The day after Wolf’s searing monologue, the then president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, Margaret Talev, said the comedian’s efforts were “not in the spirit of the mission” of celebrating a free press and “honoring civility.”

Honoring civility? Jeez, I guess that means they’ll have Acosta MC it or receive a special award.
He should show up and just turn it into a free for all press conference and it would be a giant hoot. Get up there and give hell.

If “Hamilton” is performed in a Rap Style, and I think it is,
then all the historical consultation is pretty much wasted on people like myself. All I would hear would be the mumbling, juvenile, monotone babble aka Rap. My brain would shut most of it off.
I could always be mistaken. It depends on how much the Rap is allowed to overwhelm the dialog.
Considering how VP Pence was treated over a year ago, I’m in no rush to see this anyhow. The performer looked rather pompous, rude and arrogant on that night.
Best option is to continue what he has been doing by holding a massive rally in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, NOrth Carolina, Florida, etc.
Spend that evening with us deplorables, instead of hobnobbing with the riffraff.

The absence of one “comedian” doesn’t remove the hate. STAY AWAY. They only cancelled a comedian to save the thing, so leave it alone and let it die it’s well deserved slow death.
