President Trump fired back at Chief Justice John Roberts on Wednesday after the leader of the Supreme Court rebuked the president over his criticism of "Obama judges."
"Sorry Chief Justice John Roberts, but you do indeed have “Obama judges,” and they have a much different point of view than the people who are charged with the safety of our country," the president tweeted Wednesday afternoon.
Trump's tweet came after Roberts released an unprecedented statement criticizing the president earlier Wednesday, saying the U.S. doesn't have "Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges.”
“What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them,” Roberts said in the statement.
The 9th Circuit court, located in California, is known for frequently blocking policy initiatives on immigration and national security from the Trump administration, and most recently issued a temporary stay on a joint rule from the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security prohibiting asylum claims from some migrants who cross the border illegally.
"It would be great if the 9th Circuit was indeed an “independent judiciary,” Trump added.

Certainly the Judges feel free to criticize POTUS, turn about is fair play. The Legislative Branch has done it’s fair share of criticizing as well. The idea that everything you do is about reproach is pathological. If your rulings are correct they will not be overturned...let’s look at the 9th Circuit’s record.
On a happy note POTUS has 5 9th Circuit Appeals Court Justices teed up to be confirmed by the end of the year & one set to go. It won’t tie up the Circuit yet but one or two more will.
was it not the wise latina that said to the effect that sometimes she had to follow her heart and not the letter of the law?
Roberts should take a survey of how many rulings by Obama judges have been over-ruled by a higher court compared to rulings by non-Obama judges.
Heck, he could do that by looking at the opinions of the 7-8 other SC judges’ opinions.
Many of those rulings are along party lines. Go figure!

I’d estimate that the GOP would need to appointe at least 8 judges before you got a somewhat conservative court.
Democrats would only ever need 5 for an ultra left court. Their picks never miss.

Let’s face it what are judges but former lawyers. What are former lawyers but politicians. John Roberts et al are judges like Pontius Pilot was a “judge”

I take the Robert’s tweet as in itself political. He is letting the leftist globalists and commies in general know he has their backs. We know that judges, at any level, are not all good or bad. There are a significant number who side with the left and that is why they judge shop on things pertaining to leftist causes. We have Obamacare because of him and that is what a huge number of US citizens will forever blame him for. A political call on his part for whatever benefit he received from that betrayal of the American citizens who must pay the price in real money earned by themselves. Something that Roberts will never have to consider when taking care of the medical needs of himself and his family.
And let himself be blackmailed.
