President Trump's Standing Is Slipping With The Military, For Good Reason (barf alert)
National Review... naturally ^ | 11/21/18 | David French

...Interestingly, this was after a number of positive things Trump had done. He’d increased the defense budget considerably. He’d presided over the end of ISIS’s physical caliphate (though of course not over the end of ISIS itself). His administration had aggressively sought to reform the VA.

I saw the author was David French, and knew immediately I didn’t need to read the article to know what it says.

McRaven’s comment was followed up with broadsides from other retired military officers after POTUS responded. There is no chance they are all Democrats. Sorry.

All of the warriors were run out of the military by the Kenyanesian Usurper.
The only flag officers we have left are those who saluted the transgendering of our military.

National Review has long been a propaganda arm of the Cheap Labor Express.

Whatever it takes to keep the borders open and the laws unenforced and the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA) on track so that the USA can be subsumed to the UN.

They want that New World Order whether we do or not.

Lol. Trump made those comments in an interview with Chris Wallace and not via Twitter alone.

If you don’t think Trump needs a minor course correction, I can respect that. But I see the game has changed now that we are heading to the next Presidential election. After having pretended to go along with him while sabotaging him via Ryan, the NeverTrumpers are backn I n force to blame him for loss of the House(what a joke). The left is uniting with the NeverTrump movement and using them as useful idiots. The NeverTrumpers are gleefully used as such.

But this is the playbook from here on out. Get a liberal member of victim/protected/honored class to criticize Trump. Count on Trump to go school yard. Then the leftist propaganda machine can go to work trying to use that one person as a wedge to separate Trump from an entire group. It won’t work all at once but eventually, whether you want to admit it or not, it will peal off enough. Trump needs to be smarter than them and he is.

He also needs to expand his base of support and not shrink it. His style may play well to the rural crowd but the last election evidences to me that it does not play well to the suburban crowd of country club GOP types.

They supported the GOP during the Obama years because Obama’s policies punished them (purposefully). Thus, the suburban voters were voting GOP because they were with them on the issues. Along comes Ryan and dumps those issues in the trash and leaves the suburban voter with one reason to vote GOP, to save Trump from a dem house. The suburban voters were no only not going to do that they went the other way.

There was a actual poll that showed a surprising lack of affirmation of Pres. Trump, but consider,

Racial and ethnic minority groups made up 40% of Defense Department active-duty military in 2015, up from 25% in 1990

Overall, 15% of DOD active-duty military personnel are women, up from 11% in 1990. In 2015, 17% of active-duty officers were female – up from their share of 12% in 1990. And 15% of enlisted personnel were female in 2015, up from 11% in 1990.

There were 1,340,533 active-duty troops in 2015 (including those serving in the U.S. Coast Guard). This marks the smallest active-duty force since 2001, - http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/04/13/6-facts-about-the-u-s-military-and-its-changing-demographics/

Interesting: note where the most recruits come from as a %. Wash. D.C. hardly provides any:

Georgia had the highest representation ratio, at 1.5, meaning it contributed 50 percent more than its share of the country's eighteen to twenty-four year old population. By this measure, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, and Arizona round out the top five. On the other end of the spectrum—states that contribute fewer recruits than their share of eighteen to twenty-four year olds (those with ratios less than one)—are Washington, DC, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New York. - https://www.cfr.org/article/demographics-us-military
