We have about 16 signatories, 14 of them are male. There are very few people of color in the caucus. There’s very few [sic] ideological diversity. It’s not like there are progressives that are signing on. It’s not like you have a broad-based coalition.”

I think AOC had a meeting with some folks and was trained up on “who really runs the show”. How quickly her tone has changed in regards to crazy Nan.
We thought the Republican-led house was inert and useless. Dems are going to make the formerly Republican-led House look like a Mensa meeting.

I find that statement bothersome. Who or what “we” are going to mandate to Congress how the government works?
Someone correct me if I am wrong. But the people deliver mandates to the congress critters via voting and how government works is governed by the Constitution. What this airhead is talking about is a dictatorship where Congress is but a rubber stamp.
I think Rush said the other day that it’s possible for someone to get elected prez and just throw out the Constitution. I think this is what this little sweetie is getting at. The Bill of Rights will then be null and void.

Does the democrat party platform or its governing documents contain rules/policy requiring diversity across its leadership and committees? If so, Cortez is pointing out their hypocrisy, which is no surprise to any FReeper.
