since you assert we can do nothing without divine control, somewhat confusing how you claim we should be doing divine labor...shouldn’t God be about His own work...?
God is in ultimate control of His creation of which we are a part. He designed us and allows us to make choices. Those who choose to be about “His work” are things His word says are for our best or specific things he prompts some one to work at which help bring about His plans for people.
It’s true people can do no good apart from being connected with God. Self made plans and actions end up leading to more problems in short or long term many times including self destruction for the person in some way for their life or for eternity.
God never sleeps nor slumbers so in that sense it can be said He is always about His own work. (it’s in the bible)
