WaPo Attempts to Draw Parallels Between Ivanka And Hillary's Emails – But It's Straight TRASH

The mainstream media has done nothing but try to derail Donald Trump's presidency before he even stepped into the White House. It happened before the 2016 election took place and it still occurs to this day.

Remember how mainstream media outlets made Hillary Clinton's email scandal seem like no big deal? It was "no biggie" that she was sharing classified information. On a private server. In New York. With a public email address.

Remember?

Now the geniuses at The Washington Post have a bogus story about Ivanka Trump using a private email address to coordinate her family's schedule with various White House aides, Cabinet officials and her assistants.

From their story:

White House ethics officials learned of Trump’s repeated use of personal email when reviewing emails gathered last fall by five Cabinet agencies to respond to a public records lawsuit. That review revealed that throughout much of 2017, she often discussed or relayed official White House business using a private email account with a domain that she shares with her husband, Jared Kushner.

The discovery alarmed some advisers to President Trump, who feared that his daughter’s practices bore similarities to the personal email use of Hillary Clinton, an issue he made a focus of his 2016 campaign. Trump attacked his Democratic challenger as untrustworthy and dubbed her “Crooked Hillary” for using a personal email account as secretary of state.

Some aides were startled by the volume of Ivanka Trump’s personal emails — and taken aback by her response when questioned about the practice. Trump said she was not familiar with some details of the rules, according to people with knowledge of her reaction.

In a statement, Peter Mirijanian, a spokesman for Lowell, acknowledged that the president’s daughter occasionally used her private email before she was briefed on the rules, but he said none of her messages contained classified information.

“While transitioning into government, after she was given an official account but until the White House provided her the same guidance they had given others who started before she did, Ms. Trump sometimes used her personal account, almost always for logistics and scheduling concerning her family,” he said in a statement.

...

Austin Evers, executive director of the liberal watchdog group American Oversight, whose record requests sparked the White House discovery, said it strained credulity that Trump’s daughter did not know that government officials should not use private emails for official business.

“There’s the obvious hypocrisy that her father ran on the misuse of personal email as a central tenet of his campaign,” Evers said. “There is no reasonable suggestion that she didn’t know better. Clearly everyone joining the Trump administration should have been on high alert about personal email use.”

Ivanka Trump and her husband set up personal emails with the domain “ijkfamily.com” through a Microsoft system in December 2016, as they were preparing to move to Washington so Kushner could join the White House, according to people familiar with the arrangement.

The couple’s emails are prescreened by the Trump Organization for security problems such as viruses but are stored by Microsoft, the people said.

According to Ivanka's attorney and ethics counsel, Abbe Lowell, Ivanka did use her personal email address during the transition period before she was made aware of the rules.

But here's the difference between Hillary and Ivanka:

Ivanka has never served in public office before so she had no idea about the legal ramifications of what she was doing. Hillary has served in many, many government capacities. She knew full well what she was doing.

Ivanka's emails never contained classified information. They were almost always about her family's scheduling. Hillary's emails contained classified information that she knew was classified. How could she miss the giant "CLASSIFIED" word at the top of the document?

Ivanka never deleted any of her emails. She handed them over so they could be archived with other White House documents. Hillary's team deleted over 30,000 emails when Congress launched an investigation into the matter.

Ivanka's team admitted she used the email before she knew what the rules were. They took ownership. Hillary's team denied what happened. Then when that failed, they pointed the finger at others.

See the difference?

Take note, WaPo. Take note.

To heck with classified stuff. She’s discussing the president’s families’ movements. She needs to be briefed about the dangers.

Here is the CNN article:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/19/politics/ivanka-trump-personal-email-account/index.html

They try to create an equivalence between Ivanka’s emails and Hillary’s emails, when in fact that is outrageous.

Hillary broke security, she put highly classified information into personal, unsecure emails.

Ivanka put information into the emails that is totally unclassified and you can read that info in the media. No big deal.

Yep...Some of the enemedia and the Rats are trying to blow this out of proportion but she hasn’t dealt with classified material even close to what “the smartest woman in the world” was, even though the witch knew exactly what she was doing and then lied about it.

It really doesn’t matter whether it’s Ivanka or Hillary. If the rules say you are not supposed to do this crap, you don’t do it.

How is this so difficult to figure out?

How could she miss the giant "CLASSIFIED" word at the top of the document?

It's a reasonable article except that classified emails are not marked "classified".

Perhaps the author is confused. Emails released to the public are often stamped with a large "UNCLASSIFIED" stamp. E.g. https://docs.house.gov/meetings/IG/IG00/20180129/106822/HMTG-115-IG00-20180129-SD001.pdf But notice on the doc that the header has the level of classified, e.g. Top Secret. Or it would say "Secret" or "Confidential". But the header will never say "CLASSIFIED".

Also it's safe to say that any markings like the above would never have made it to Hillary's insecure server because all her underlings (all granted immunity) knew enough to strip those before sending (or just type classified stuff without marking it). They had to protect her at all cost and give her plausible deniability.

Perhaps we should investigate how Ivanka handled her e-mails. And since the WaPo wants to consider them equivalent, let’s open a new investigation into Hillary’s handling of e-mails. Let’s be thorough with both of them!
