Meanwhile, thousands of illegal migrants traveling in a caravan from Central America have made their way to Tijuana. They are on the Mexican side of the border waiting to make asylum claims in the U.S. The Trump administration recently implemented a new policy that allows migrants to claim asylum only at official ports of entry. Approximately 100 cases per day are completed and wait times can be as long as six months.
Because of the overwhelming numbers of people expected to arrive in the coming days, the Department of Homeland Security has shut down a number of lanes at major ports of entry in order to ensure an orderly process.

every where there is a real barrier there has to be people on the ground watching/paroling - tech can be defeated often in the simplest ways. Drones can be jammed, aircraft can only monitor the area they are f;lying in - once past a given point the cost is clear until the next pass - and those passes an be timed by crossers.
Not every last foot - a patrol can watch miles over flat cleared ground. If we don’t know everything that is going on, you can bet the coyotes and the cartels do ...

The only way to stop the whole shebang is to stop the incentives and that means making a public example - ie shoot one and the rest find better things to do elsewhere. You just have to have the political will to follow through despite all the media hand wringing and shyster lawyers yammering.
A fence, a wall standing alone does nothing but waste money no matter how elaborately constructed. Besides, walls etc aren’t going to be funded after the current budget ends - the Democrat House will not fund it. Its either stop them now or just forget the whole idea.

I was opposed to the Nazi skinheads marching through Skoki, IL a heavily Jewish neighborhood consisting of Holocaust survivors. The city denied the march route but the ACLU sued and they marched. The Nazi skinheads weren’t exercising their 1st. Amendment rights, they were exercising their right to intimidation with the help of the ACLU. Would the ACLU sue to allow the KKK to march through a heavily black neighborhood?

Who says it’s unmanned? Anyway, a few bursts of water cannon will make it VERY DIFFICULT to cut and climb, particularly if it’s ‘skunk water’.

The First Amendment was written to protect unpopular political speech, and the city was wrong to deny them a permit.
The solution to unpopular political speech, which this clearly was, is MORE political speech, not government intimidation.

Someone who is impoverished is GRATEFUL for what someone gives them, especially food.

So incitement to riot is protected by free speech under the 1st. Amendment. So what’s the difference between the KKK and Nazi skinheads? One is okay to march and the other not? I guess shouting “FIRE” in a crowded theater is protected free speech as well. No different than Skoki. Political speech to harass a group of people is okay then so long as they’re Jews and not any other group.
From the photos I’ve seen they are not deprived.....certainly not starving....most could afford to go hungry a couple few days and shed some of those pounds. They could live of their collected fat.
