Donald Trump pleads for approval to build wall as violent anti-immigration protests erupt

TENSIONS turned to violence as Tijuana police attempted to manage protesters to the Migrant caravan hoping to claim asylum in the US.

As the migrant caravan draws closer to US it has become more pressing in both Mexican and American politics.

Donald Trump tweeted about Mexico’s inability to deal with the many migrants staying and passing through the country.

He said: “The Mayor of Tijuana, Mexico, just stated that the city is ill-prepared to handle this many migrants, the backlog could last 6 months.

“Likewise, the US is ill-prepared for this invasion and will not stand for it, they are causing crime and big problems in Mexico, Go home.”

In a separate tweet the US President express the need for more severe methods in dealing with the onslaught of migrants.

He tweeted: “Catch and Release is an obsolete term. It is now Catch and Detail. Illegal immigrants trying to come into the US, often proudly flying the flag of their nation as they ask for US asylum, will be detained or turned away.

“Democrats must approve Border Security and Wall NOW.”

Some of the protesters were very vocal about their disdain for the migrant caravan, including Esther Monroy, 58.

She said: “Most of us in this area depend on business from people coming and going across the border.

“If they close it, it will be the migrant's fault,” “Most of them are criminals anyway.

“If the government can’t control all this, organised crime and drug cartels will.

“We don’t care who does it, but they have to take responsibility for these people.”

So now Mexico might pay for the wall so they don’t have to expect 1,000’s of illegal migrants flowing through their country.

Trump might seriously consider calling for a GO FUND THE WALL account.

I would bet that he would draw in more money than he could have thought.

10,000 unwanted people will disrupt the drug cartels’ business.

They can only kidnap and sell so many women and kids.

The Mexican government will begin deporting these people in batches, they must. They claim they have to send their Mex-poor to the USA; so how can they afford thousands of new non-Mexican indigents?

A few million here and there would go a long way towards building segments of wall or miles of concertina wire.

You can do a search on the GoFundMe site for border wall and see how they are doing. There are a bunch of them. One has finally got up to $800. Not much happening there so far.

Mexicans are protesting but Americans are not.

The USA seems to be done as far as I can tell.

Trump might as well resign if we are not going to help him.

“Simple: since this is a national security matter, defend our borders with our military.”

Since protecting our borders is a national security issue couldn’t the wall funding come from the defense budget?
Seems there are always items in the budget the military doesn’t really want.
Take that money and build the wall.

Yup, I agree. The Wall is a national security matter and should be funded from the Pentagon’s budget.

The existing walls have vertical sections with chain links on our side. That provides toe holes for climbing to the top and down to the US side. First, replace the chain links and with razor wire. Add video monitors, generators to electrify the setups and command centers manned by our military troops supporting Border Patrol personnel. Include airborne capability to transport BPs as needed.

The military personnel would not have any law enforcement role. They already have the equipment, training, expertise and funding. Trump has the authority as CIC without congressional permission since existing immigration laws could be enforced.

I do not claim any expertise. These are just some of my thoughts. There are many active duty and retirees who can judge them.

How about a GofundMe type of account or some alternative that won’t be shut down by lefties.

65 million Americans voted for Trump. If he asked each of us to donate a measly $20 to a Wall Fund, he'd raise over a billion dollars in no time.

That's what I've been saying. Bypass Congress and go directly to the people.

If every Trump voter sent in $20, he'd raise over a billion dollars in no time at all.

That's because President Trump isn't out front leading the fundraising.

SanFran Zero judge can take a hike. This issue was already decided by the Supreme Court back in June of this year, in the case, Trump vs Hawaii.

Contract with the home country of each person who sneaks into this country to place them in prison for 1 year, pay $15K per year. If they are a previous border jumper, the sentence should be 5 years. Jump the border, the US will take care of you. You can live rent free in a Mexican, Guatemalan, or Honduran prison. I hear it is very nice. So nice, that these people will never come back to this country. It is cheaper than letting them in, and solves the problem of others repeating the same crime.

I’ve looked for pictures that were shown on FOX this morning of the barriers put up at San Ysidro but was unable to find them. Not the jersey barriers or anything with concertina wire but huge walls of steel that were placed across 4-5 lanes leaving only 2 lanes open and more ready to move into place if needed to keep any “runners” from getting through the crossing. I’ll keep looking.. Looks like they’ll do the job and maybe something to think about in place of the wall. They’d have to be permanently placed but they are solid and no one would be climbing them. Says here in small print!

Maybe Mexican residents will be taking care of the problem for us.

What I saw on FOX this a.m., and can’t find online were pictures when they closed up 4-5 lanes at the border today and placed huge steel barriers across the closed lanes..They left two lanes open with more steel barriers ready to be moved in if necessary. All I find are exactly what you posted - the jersey barriers and concertina wire. These were SOLID barriers and unlike the ones that stretch across into the ocean in TJ...

Those portable walls did not look very tall, but could be useful for temporary applications. Anything not several feet deep will encourage digging.

Darn - the ones I saw on FOX this morning were NEARLY as tall as any of the walls (with slats) they show on the news all the time but they were SOLID STEEL. Why on earth can’t I find what I saw on FOX? I know I wasn’t dreaming it.

True - they would be movable and no way to anchor them into the lanes they put them in..maybe not such a great idea after all but-—of course, with BP or military there to stand guard, perhaps to make them stop in their tracks????
