Hey Jeet! Check out my tagline and then suck me.
No doubt. Fortunately, Heinlein threw off said influence and found his own voice. One thing that was pellucidly clear...Heinlein was an American patriot.
Actually, his book Friday greatly speaks out against not accepting all persons. After all, Friday was a sort of genetically fashioned person who felt more solitary from her differences with everyone else.
The bottom line of this article is that RAH isn’t as great as people think because he differed with Mr Heet’s politics.
Heinlein’s novel Stranger in A Strange Land was my introduction to his writing. It - the book - was very “Libertarian” in the philosophy of its main character.
You might try some John Ringo if you think that all SF is Godless. Baen Publishing has a few of his on their Free Library. Try Gust Front, which is a free download in whatever ebook format you prefer.
Agreed. It was barely readable, which is why it was not published until after his death. One of the really interesting things about it, IMO was the number of things that got barely a mention in there, which was his first attempt at a novel that showed up in later stories. For instance, rolling roads were a passing mention in FUTL, but was later expanded upon. There were several others that I recall making note of when I read it, but they don't come to mind at the moment. (Getting old I am.)

I love John C. Wright (most of the others too, but Wright’s a pretty recent discovery). I don’t know if you follow his blog, but after exhaustively dissecting “The Last Jedi” and what he didn’t like about it, he seems to be launching his own take on Star Wars. I very much enjoyed the preview I read of it.
Yeah, Wright’s blog is great. I’ve read the Golden Age series and the Count to Eschaton sequence of his, both tremendous. I read some of his take on the new Star Wars movie, pretty funny.
