At Least 28 Republican incumbents lost. Even if we had no retirements we would have lost the House. Stop trying to make excuses for a disastrous performance.

The only “disaster” were the RINOs getting tossed out of office.

There were over 40 house republicans who retired this cycle.
I think the Republicans did much better than could be expected given the unusually large number of retirements. On the bright side, the RINO wing of the party took the brunt of the beating. I never thought that getting rid of them would be easy or pretty. I am pleasantly surprised that so many of them just simply quit, including Ryan. This is what getting rid of RINOs looks like. I suspect that most of the “moderate blue dogs” the rats got elected this cycle will be gone soon, just like the last time the rats tried that same ploy back in 2006.

Their disastrous performance was due to the fact they wouldn’t deal with Obamacare and the wall. Two things that put POTUS in office. Ryan and others in the house, as many here have been saying for the last 18 months, wanted to lose both the house and Senate to paralyze POTUS, or even impeach him.
Not to mention close races and voter fraud hurt us too.

Dude, 45 retirements killed us. In the end winning the races in Florida and in Texas and adding to the Senate was a drawl. Maybe even more than that considering SCOTUS appointments go through the Senate.
