Former Secretary of State John Kerry said "people are going to die" because of President Trump's decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement.
"People are going to die because of the decision Donald Trump made," Kerry said in an interview with The Guardian published on Friday. "My kids and my grandkids are going to face a difficult world because of what Donald Trump has done."
The Guardian questioned Kerry about a variety of subjects, including many he writes about in his book, "Every Day is Extra," that was released in September.
In it, Kerry details the Obama administration's work to secure both the Paris climate deal and the Iran nuclear deal. Trump withdrew the U.S. from both of the agreements in his first two years in office.
But Kerry said that he does not take Trump's actions personally, adding that he feels "better than a lot of people think about the Paris deal. He noted that Trump's withdrawal does not affect the other 194 countries that agreed to curb global greenhouse gas emissions through individual, nonbinding national plans.
He added that countries such as France, Britain and Russia have talked with the foreign minister of Iran to evaluate how the nuclear deal can move forward.
"Im sorry for the world," Kerry said. "Im sorry for my country, which looks ridiculous. Look, Ive known all my life that this is a tough business, that politics is hard that there are ups and down and if you personalize them youre never going to survive.
Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, has repeatedly criticized Trump throughout his presidency. He's attracted speculation about a potential run against Trump in 2020, and he told The Guardian that he hasn't ruled it out.
"Im just going to think quietly about whether I think its
necessary," he said. "Whether I feel I can bring something to the table thats essential, that somebody else cant."
The Paris agreement is a joke. Nonbinding! Of course it makes liberal dunces like Kerry feel good about themselves, that they are saving the planet. As for the Iran deal, I wonder how much Kerry was paid....
What’s happening this week - the Obozo Admin redux? First The Wookie is all over the place and now Lurch turns up too.
Just another demonstration of the saying:
“It is better to stay silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.”
u should be in jail traitore
John F’n Kerry should have been tried, convicted, and hanged for treason in the 1970s. That he is still not even charged is a mockery of American justice.
>>> “Im sorry for the world,” Kerry said. <<<
Putz.
Still the blithering asshole you always were, John?
You bet.
LOL!
People are going to die due to the sun’s rising in the East.
I will celebrate when this jane fonda wanna be takes the long dirt nap.
Kerry will surely make the Proctologist Hall of Fame as an abnormally large anal orifice. Probably rate his own individual case and brass plate.
Picks up where gore left, he see’s the money in this scam and its good
More will suffer from a bad batch of Heinz Ketchup....
Ketchup Boy Kerry wants to use carbon to battle the sun. Kerry, use that lump of coal to make your wife a diamond for her ring.
After the millions dead from tax breaks and the millions dead from net neutrality is anyone left to die from leaving the Paris Accord?
Here is PROOF there is NO globull warming:
IF you can interpret a graph, you can see how the scam works: This is A NOAA GRAPH. They publish this stuff and Americans don't look, don't think, don't understand even the simplest concepts.
The ADJUSTED RED line shows a long term temperature increase with expected variations from year to year. The BLUE, ACTUAL TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENTS show that the 1930's were the warmest tempertures in the last 140 years.
WHY do they CORRECT tempertures? Because CO2 levels are increasing therefore actual temperature measurements must be lower than measured! They rely on you not realizing they are talking about ADJUSTED, NOT MEASURED TEMPERATURES!
If Kerry wants to “bring something to the table” he can leave the country & take others who share his views with him.
