A mother who said she is fleeing persecution in Nicaragua and hopes to receive political asylum in the United States pleaded with President Trump to open the doors for us.
"I would get on my knees and beg, Idenia Molina Rocha told CBS News in a report published on Saturday.
"Don't send us back," she continued. "We're walking and scared. You say you will militarize the border but I pray to God that with our evidence of persecution you won't send us back. I fear for my family's life. Please Mr. Trump, open the doors for us, I beg you."
Rocha was interviewed by the news agency in Mexico as she and her family travel with more migrants who have fled persecution in their home countries in efforts to make through to the U.S.-Mexico border and eventually the American asylum process.
In footage of the interview, Rocha can be seen holding a newspaper she said shows photos of her family and her home on the front page. Rocha claims she and her family are being persecuted in Nicaragua for supporting those who oppose their president.
Rocha told the publication she and her family fled their home country and went to Guatemala after they began to see wanted signs of them being posted up around the time.
Rocha said they began to hear news of a migrant caravan after they made it to southern Mexico.
Earlier on Saturday, Trump insisted that troops will be stationed at the southern border for as long as necessary ahead of the arrival of a caravan of Central American asylum-seekers.
He previously threatened to send upwards of 15,000 troops to the border, which would amount to more total service members than the country has stationed in Afghanistan.
“administered by Hillsdale College” LOL!
Their Constitution coarse should be a requirement for anyone to vote in the US!
Generous indeed. Considering the fact they hate us. I’m beyond FED UP with this crap from these people. The countries these people are fleeing were up until a decade ago some of the most socially stable and economically and agriculturally productive countries in Latin America. But being the entitled brats they are that wasn’t enough for them. They allowed themselves to fall under the spell of the siren song of socialism and it’s promise of Utopia, that magic place where no one works and everyone eats. And so they abandoned market based capitalism, overthrew democratically elected governments, chased out the productive class, nationalized the industries, seized the farmlands and instituted socialism and now, after the predictable destruction of a nation that it produces they have decided that rather than fix their countries it’s the gringos, ie Americans, responsibility to make up for their deficiencies. God how I despise these people.
Message to Aris Folley: You sound like Charles Dickens on a bad day - go pound sand.
OMG! Glad I checked. I am BOTH a bigot/racist and a misogynist. Judging by the pic, I may be a homophobe as well.
Yes, the trifecta of grievance intersectionality.
I must go off myself now...
Invaders begging to invade. I woyld open something...fire!
They’ve been told what to say.
Nicaraugua? Loved by our darling progressive leftists?
They found a poster child.
Did anyone see tears? or just bad acting? How does she keep her whites so white over 3000 miles?
The boo-boo on the kid’s leg? The fakery of using the crutches? The man on the side trying to look upset?
I didn’t buy the newspaper picture, either.
Who wrote the script for her? Hockey pocks.
If Jim Accosta thinks it’s not a sh!t hole, I say we exchange this woman for him, see how long before he changes his mind.

“I fear for myself for supporting President Trump.”
Perhaps you should just keep your mouth shut. A vote is a private matter and you can support Trump without broadcasting it.
If all illegals had their assets forfeited to pay for their deportation we would not have an immigration problem. No more free stuff ever.
What’s wrong with Mexico. You’ve been offered asylum there and they speak your language.
Mexico has opened their doors for you. Either accept their invitation or turn around and head home.
Go back now
Me too.
Tired of the 'pity-the-poor-migrant' narrative rammed down our throats by liberals, Democrats and the MSM.
I don’t know what PRESIDENT TRUMP (I just love saying that)
will say or do, but my response would be a simple F#CK OFF, WETBACK!
Then they lied to you.
I spent a lot of time working in Mexico, IT’S A SH!THOLE.
Costa Rica is being invaded by Nicaraguans, now 200 applicants a day for asylum..between 15 and 20% of people in Costa Rica (pop 5 million) are Nicaraguans...clash of cultures, crime, wages etc.
Costa Rica is currently having serious fiscal/money problems and proposed tax reforms were met with large strikes by govt workers. Their money is recently being devalued compared to the US dollar

CR people are upset with the large number of Nicaraguans flooding CR.
Thanks for the update.
My comment was about the fact that “asylum” is supposed to be applied for in the first country entered, according to international law.
We’re several hops removed from both Nicaragua and Honduras. As is Mexico.
It’s clearly a case of economic choice... and we have the option to refuse to provide that on demand.
