Illegal in Kalifornia. You must allow the biomass to build up to catastrophic proportions under penalty of law.
That in addition to logging to thin the trees, allowing grazing permits to allow the grasses and underbrush to clean up, reopen the fire roads that go back deep into the forests.
I think you get rid of some of those clerical jobs and replace them with forestry jobs (real ones not the ones who want to do nothing)
.....129 million dead trees in CA.
Repubs and Demons passed a bipartisan
Bill in CA to fund the forestry service to remove dead trees and undergrowth which feeds fires...but Moonbeam Brown killed it
OMG, look at the ugly scar on the land that machine is making. And all of the bird and squirrel nests the are being destroyed. And the noise is horrific, scaring all the other animals away. Who would want to go hiking and birding with that monster running?
This is old tech. They used to make bunching sheers that could collect several trees at a time before they dropped them into the bundle. The idea is behind this is that the sheer doesnt create sparks like the hot saws do.
I had a rapid buncher sheer head on a JD 490- a 20 inch head.

President Trump mentions Finland as the forestry management model
For the EFFN firebugs on here.
WTF dont you donate so some of the hospital/schools can put one of these in to heat their places? Then you can go and get your jollies by looking into the fire box to watch it burn.
Our Fake News Media sucks so bad I have taken to YouTube and look for things that are positive, like the video I found of a gent restoring a table vice that was destined for the scrap yard to pristine visual and working condition, and...
Videos of amazing Heavy Equipment which includes these various brush cleaning, removal and logging type inventor machines. I found video for this last category over a year ago and they are fascinating, thank you for posting some I haven't seen.
This doesn't ease the pain of the loss of the loved ones in CA, and what and or how Gov Moonbean drooped the ball.
However you look at these machines and say why the heck aren't they being used now or in the future so this doesn't happen again in CA.
