>>The Grand Old Party is dead — partly because it has failed to separate itself from today’s toxic, national brand of Republican politics,<<

On the contrary. The republican party has drifted so far from it’s tenets that a good percentage of conservative voters feel...what’s the use in voting republican?

There is no consensus on what a conservative voter feets, nor what are its tenets. It is much more complex than that, but the Democrats build alliances of diverse interests and play to win. They won California for the foreseeable future, and possibly Nevada as well. Arizona is teetering, as is Georgia.

Marshall Tuck and Steve Poisner ran as independents for state wide office.

Marshall Tuck got 50+% and beat the Democrat (Union) candidate for school Superintendent.

Steve Poisner got 49.5% of the vote (lost) for Insurance Commissioner.

John Cox got 40% for Governor.

It seems their is a about a 10% penalty for being a republican in this state.

Why? Hispanics, especially recent immigrants tend to hate the GOP, Massive Fraud voting and a Weak/Stupid GOP party.

The voters rejected state wide rent control so its not hopeless, but it is very bleak.
