Many people don’t want to leave their homes and wait in line. Voting has to be easy for them and not disrupt their lives. Young people can’t be bothered to talk on the phone so they text.Voting is a nuisance for them.

First, someone voted for me in GA. At the polling place they said absentee. The urban SoS person I was able to reach told me I voted early on Nov 2 at a church.
Anyway—-
It used to be more difficult to get absentee votes. You had to give a reason why you would not be available on Election Day. With early voting, it should be even harder to get an absentee ballot.
Instead, people are treating absentee ballots as mail in votes, another form of early voting.
It’s time to wrangle in these absentee voting rules nationwide for federal elections. It would set the tone for all state/local elections.

She still has student debt 20 years after she graduated. Plus $200,000 in credit card debt and she owes the IRS.
She wont let go -— the governor’s seat is her pathway out of debt.

They complain b/c Republican Kemp expressed “concern” about absentee voting. At a GOP event Kemp said: “They have an unprecedented number of [absentee requests], which is something that concerns us, especially if everybody uses and exercises their right to vote — which they absolutely can — and mail those ballots in, we gotta have heavy turnout to offset that.” Motivating your side to vote is the opposite of voter suppression.
They allege Kemp shut down polling places but Counties close cash-strapped rural areas consolidate to eliminate underutilized polling places and locations that don’t comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. A controversy exploded over plans to close seven of nine precincts in tiny majority-black Randolph County, Kemp publicly opposed the plan. (Randolph voted for 2016 Hillary, but Trump won five of the seven precincts slated for closure.)—snip—
Finally, they object to Kemp’s enforcement of “use it or lose it” rule upheld by the USSC in Ohio this year.It’s hardly punitive. If you haven’t voted for three years, you get notified by mail. If you don’t reply and then don’t vote in the next two federal elections, you are struck from the rolls. This happened to an estimated 100,000 people last year, who, judging by their behavior, were non-voters rather than voters.
Every indication is that Stacey Abrams lost fair-and-square where everyone knew the rules beforehand, and they weren’t unreasonable. She’s nonetheless being hailed for not conceding, and her loss will always be taken as an indictment of Georgia rather than the verdict of voters.

LET’S BE CLEAR: What Stacey Abrams and her gang are doing is not the thoughtful practice of politics.

Democrat Stacey Abrams is fast running out of options to close a deficit in the race for Georgia governor.
Republican winner Brian Kemp has already moved on – and has a transition office under the Gold Dome to prove it.
The Democrat’s campaign is considering a long-shot legal challenge under a law that allows losing candidates to contest the election in the case of misconduct, fraud or “irregularities.” Abrams would face a tremendous legal burden to prove her case. The latest tally showed Abrams is roughly 55,000 votes behind Kemp — and in need of more than 17,000 votes to force a Dec. 4 runoff.
Georgia law requires a runoff if no candidate gets a majority of the vote, which is only a possibility because a third-party contender netted about 1 percent. Abrams’ campaign has long tried to make the case that Kemp used his role as secretary of state to suppress the vote (the ol’ Jim Crow routine). But to have a chance in court, Abrams would have to definitively prove there were enough Georgians blocked from voting to close the gap.
Barring successful legal action, the secretary of state could certify the election as soon as 5 pm Friday and cement Kemp’s victory in the tightest race for Georgia governor since 1966.
She has run in 3 different states for political office.

You just said that because she’s a woman of color. She should get 20,000 additional votes due to inherent racism to help overcome the white privilege.
