Democrat Katie Porter unseated incumbent Rep. Mimi Walters (R-Calif.), marking the first time Democrats have won the inland Orange County district since its creation in 1983.
The Associated Press called the race on Thursday, nine days after Election Day.
Walters, a former Laguna Niguel mayor and state lawmaker, had aligned herself with the unpopular President Trump this past election cycle. She was one of a handful of vulnerable Republicans who voted for and defended both Trump’s Obamacare repeal bill and his tax cuts law.

The country is in serious trouble and the GOP has sacrificed untold House seats and at least three Senate seats thus far. The DNC is undefeated in all close races after the election. 2020 may be as shocking. The national GOP is an arm of the Never Trump resistance and Democrat lite.

Elections in California are a joke.
We have 1.5 million more registered voters than people who live here , according to OANN.
Personally, my household of 30 years being registered at the same adress, for some reason, all had to vote by provisional ballot in '16, (all voted for President Trump), and this year, after 30 years, we were told we had to vote by mail, that our polling place was gone.
I bet our votes went right into a paper shredder and were never counted.
It's ridiculous.
White liberal and moonbats are a minor part of the Dems vote and what is really going on the demographics or ethnic block voting for Dems- that is the real story, and challenge for GOP. Without the block voting of African American’s (93% + for Dems+ and Hispanic Americans-approaching 70%,) the Dems would have a little over 100 seats and about 10-12 Senate seats.
Just look at the states won by Trump,he won 32 states but only 4 have a population of Hispanic voters over 13%. Clinton by contrast won 28 states and only 5 had a Hispanic population of under 13%.
In CA, whose demographics once resembled Texas and was the home of Reagan and Nixon (and by virtue of being the largest population state, there are 53 House seats!) the Hispanic Population is now about 40% (and yes fueled by illegal immigrants and higher birth rate )and African American 12%.
This demographic shift and resulting voting trend is what is going on in early stages in Nevada, Az, Fl and now Texas. Colorado is now over 20% Hispanic and now a dem state, Nevada over 29% and voting solidly blue. I beleive this is why the dems are for illegal immigration-it gets them votes and power.
We need to address, its like trying to win a basketball game where the other team gets to start with a 20 point lead so we cannot pretend we can win without Hispanics or fall for the “its just white liberals” myth or the entire country will be CA
