Sounds pretty chilly all right. I know what you mean about “old” houses. Ours leaks like a sieve around the windowsills and under the doors when the wind is howling. We’ve thought about getting new windows, but they cost an absolute fortune!
Most of this house is 100 years old, with a little more added on in the mid-’60s. None of it insulated all that well. Not like newer houses. We need to win the lottery so we can afford to insulate the whole place. LOL
Storm windows make a big difference. We did put some on the worst of the leaky windows and it helped on those.
