Ocasio-Cortez Demands 100% Renewable Energy in 10 Years
Breitbart ^ | November 15,2018 | Joel B. Pollak

U.S. Representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is demanding that the U.S. commit to shifting 100% of its energy consumption to renewable energy in ten years as part of a “Green New Deal” she is demanding party leaders support.

Politico reported Thursday that Ocasio-Cortez, the “democratic socialist” from New York’s 14th congressional district, is demanding that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi back her demand for 100% renewables as a price for support in the Democratic Party’s leadership struggle.

Incoming liberals, led by Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, are demanding Pelosi go beyond her promise to revive a select committee on global warming; they want her and the rest of the Democratic Caucus to back an ambitious plan to transition the economy to 100 percent renewable energy in a little more than a decade.

But the party’s chairmen-in-waiting are pushing back on the idea that even a new select committee would be necessary, arguing that the existing Energy and Commerce, Natural Resources, Transportation and Science committees have the tools they need to address climate change.

[Nah, start with something simple like personal hovercraft capable of Mach 1.]

That’s why I like the TR-3B. Mach 5, no problem. Left that NASA SR-71B in the dust way back.

Unless I’m heading to the Moon to see the ant people.

Then I have to kick in the main engines....dilithium crystals, ya know.

Silly citizen of the world...those solutions are for the “regular” people, not the anointed ones in the halls of power.

She is more idiotic than I thought. She is so stupid and out of touch even for libtards that the DNC may run her out after one term.

This is probably the most ignorant and stupid person to ever be ion congress. (That’s saying a lot!)

Are you counting Hank 'Guam's gonna tip over' Johnson, Sheila 'can you send the Mars rover to where the astronauts planted the flag' Jackson Lee and John "sharks still gather where slave ships sailed looking for a free meal' Lewis?

That's some pretty stiff competition.

About 250 years ago Ben Franklin invented a stove because 35,000 population Philadelphia had already burned most of the renewable energy in the area and firewood was becoming rare and expensive.

Pennsylvania coal was the salvation of New York and Philly.

The once very profitable Reading Railroad that hauled this coal was featured in the Monopoly game.

Random thoughts about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez:

Huge mouth. Can she sing like Freddie Mercury?

How fat is she going to get?
How quickly?

I think she’ll lose a lot of hair in just a few years.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez-Sotomayor-Peron.

No true passion, just an angry, bitter person.

I used to be pretty good at writing parodies but don’t do it any more. Still, I think it would be funny to take the country song, “Crazy Arms”, and create, “Crazy Eyes”. It would be in honor of AO-C.

How about “Hungry Eyes” by Eric Carmen?
Hungry Eyes
Eric Carmen
I’ve been meaning to tell you
I’ve got this feelin’ that won’t subside
I look at you and I fantasize
Now and tonight
Now I’ve got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I can’t disguise
I’ve got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and I
I want to hold you so hear me out
I want to show you what love’s all about
Now an tonight
Now I’ve got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I can’t disguise
I’ve got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and I
Now I’ve got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
Now did I take you by surprise
I need you to see
This love was meant to be
With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I can’t disguise
I’ve got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and I

Alexandria “demands”.

Yeah, and it will all be powered by perpetual motion.

There is an ever-declining energy balance in the universe, which over time degrades into heat, and the heat radiates away.

But for short periods of time, we can store up various forms of this energy, and release it while keeping it harnessed to our needs, and we get useful work out of the slow degradation of energy.

The way to harness this energy is done most efficiently through the economic principle of “capitalism” in which the consumption of some energy may be used to provide all manner of goods and services, but simultaneously doing this at the most efficient manner possible, by monetizing the value of energy, then spending it wisely and well.

“Renewable energy” is a will-o’-the-wisp, and by its very nature, unreliable in many instances. Perhaps hydroelectric power is the best of these, but windmills and solar collection farms are spotty and wholly dependent on the vagaries of nature. Geothermal power is not applicable everywhere, it is available in only certain localities, and is subject to disruption during times of seismic activity, which created the geothermal vent in the first place..
