NeverTrump Republicans have been rabidly obsessed since 2015 to prevent Donald Trumps nomination, election, and having failed, to join the left in nonstop criticism and condemnation of President Trump. They may be succeeding, but to what end? As they look around at the current political landscape, are they truly happy with the direction of the country? Or is that irrelevant, as long as they can strut around on their high horse, feeling smug, telling each other I told you so?
The NeverTrump movement began shortly after Trump announced his candidacy for the presidency. So-called principled Republicans were incensed that a loud-mouth from Queens, a TV reality star, a host of beauty pageants, someone never before elected to public office, should challenge the Republican establishment orthodoxy.
His tweets and straight talk were unacceptable. Calling out the media and his political opponents ran against the grain of how they thought Republicans should handle themselves in a presidential campaign. Trump did not follow the proper and acceptable savoir faire of John McCain or Mitt Romney, two prominent NeverTrumpers. The fact that both lost their elections to an easily defeatable far-left candidate who damaged the country badly during his eight-year reign of fundamentally transforming America seems to be lost on Trumps GOP critics.
The NeverTrump names are familiar. Aside from the two noted above, there are others, all one-time Republicans, although their conservative beliefs have been tossed out the window over political expediency or ego. George Will, Max Boot, Steve Schmidt, Bret Stephens, Jennifer Rubin, and anyone with the last name of Bush. There are many in Congress too Paul Ryan, Jeff Flake, Ben Sasse, Bob Corker, and others.

I think we've pretty much demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt what gives leftists power is complicity from the "pseudo-right."
And don’t forget that ahole George Conway, Kellyanne’s husband. Vile despicable man.
Women get the rap of being the jealous ruthless ones. But when men are jealous, they’re truly dangerous.
Yes, they’re happy. There are those who began to see in early 2017 what the President and his people are really doing (understandable), and there are those who knew and continue to oppose the President now (evil). For nearly 50 years, their sponsors’ efforts were for running the U.S. economy into the ground and putting the U.S. population under their total control.
The GOP was rank long before Mr. Trump decided to become Candidate Trump and subsequently President Trump and all the Never Trumpers emerged from the GOP slime. In fact the absolute foulness of both political parties is the reason he ran in the first place.
The Republican party was more than happy to sell him the "R" brand and collect his entry fees for the primaries because they needed a foil for the heir apparent JEB! and as with most plans conceived by the GOP, it came back and bit 'em in the ass.
those who ride around on high horses have forgotten that horses tend to stumble when on rocky ground. And politics is always rocky ground.
Really? What does the record number of captures by the Border Patrol have to say about that? What do DACA applicants have to say about that? What do companies that have cut off H1B hires have to say about that?
Trump is the Executive, and he has been doing it himself.
He will build the Wall, he has the funds within DOD. He is funded to the hilt through 2020. He has stated he can and he may use DOD funds to construct the Wall. As of now, he is consolidating power and rebuilding the federal judiciary, the DOJ, the FBI, and all other 3-letter agencies necessary to execute and enforce as he is sworn to do.
The makeup of the GOP is now going to be the Party of Trump. Those that ‘resisted’ and backstabbed have been driven from office. The cleanup cost the House but the House now doesn’t matter for the next two years. Trump has a Senate that is with him. Senators that speak out of both sides of their mouth are gone and the ones that remain are going to fall in with the Trump Movement or else. McConnell has redeemed himself. Crus has gone full Trump.
This pattern of history matches that of the first two years of Reagan’s first term. The GOP Establishment couldn’t stand him and wanted him gone. By the 3rd and 4th years of his 1st term, he had them dancing to his tune and he won by the largest landslide in history in 1984.
IMO Trump will be even greater.
This is not new. The Neocon Trotskyists hated Goldwater, Reagan, and Buchanan.

Cross dressing would be an enhancement for failed phony tin dim godhood.
Election went great for them. They bully and berate people, then celebrate Democrat victories.
Hope RINOS can be replaced by MAGA supporting conservatives in 2020.
While we are at it, let’s not forget the treachery of Richard Shelby, whose never-Trumpery is the main reason why Alabama (temporarily) has a rat senator instead of an American.
We the People need to “Out” the never Trumpers FROM OFFICE!
Much like their Leftist friends, the NeverTrump clique believes that the policies they support and the consequences of them, will never effect their lives. They think they’ll be insulated from all of it. Then one day they won’t be getting those phone calls from the networks and their neighborhoods will start to look a little different. They’ll be extending an open hand to their neighbor who will call them an infidel, kafir or maricon. Then it’s too late.
From your mouth to God’s ears, please.
>>Jennifer Rubin
Jennifer Rubin has said to not vote for any Republican who is not named Mitt Romney. She’s hardly a Republican of any stripe.
We have our own versions here - lots of concern trolls, who claim to support trump, use every rumor as an opportunity to declare that if Trump does, or does not, do what they want, they are done with him....
We held our noses and voted for Romney and McCain. When it came their turn to hold their noses and vote for Trump we see how they reacted. I’m never holding my nose to vote again in my life.
“We held our noses and voted for Romney and McCain. When it came their turn to hold their noses and vote for Trump we see how they reacted. Im never holding my nose to vote again in my life.”
Amen!
