159 to 49? Jordan never had a chance. He must have seen it coming. I don’t think Jim Jordan made himself widely known.
Last summer was his last chance, and I did see much written about him after that fake involvement in a wrestler-scandal fizzed out.
I thought Scalise also was running. I guess that plan never got off the ground, in spite of everyone knowing his name.
Jim Jordan was on TV all the time. He was much better known than that POS McCarthy(Ryan’s bun punching partner).
The 159 that voted for McCarthy were the rinos and neverTrumpers in Congress that just voted to continue stabbing Trump in the back and cooperate with the dems.
We needed all hands on deck in the first few years to save America, these pieces of living shit in the republican party decided to torpedo the one guy that was trying to save her.
McCarthy is an awful choice, I think he’s content to stay in the minority forever, ala Bob Michel in the 80s. But I wasn’t sold on Jim Jordan either. The 159-49 vote proves we needed a better “conservative alternative”. I’m surprised there wasn’t more interest in a “Scalise for GOP leader” movement. You’d think there would have been a ground swell of support after his comeback from a near assassination attempt.
Liz Cheney sucks too, I noticed her fan club on FR who argued she’d be a “Fighter” for conservative causes has disappeared. She’s basically gotten every political post in her career because of her last name. Overall the whole GOP “leadership” team is lousy and I can’t see these guys ever running government.
And we still need to start a “bipartisan” campaign to get Alexandria Osacio-Cortez as Speaker. Can you imagine the entertainment value alone if C-SPAN had live coverage of all her activities?
Hysterical. Trying to justify him losing is silly. The members like McCarty better to be minority leader. It is that simple.
McCarthy has been running radio ads for months with fake claims about him being tough on illegal immigration.
75% of the time, whips move up to leader.
