Stop The Protectionist Media - boycott advertisers
November 14, 2018 | McCabe

Considering that the Democrats in particular, and the left wing in general, are controlling the message emanating from major and minor media outlets I believe it’s time something is done about it. What these “elites” really care about is money and power, which is one and the same. The ONLY way to stop their false news reporting is to hit them where it hurts. When you actually take the time to watch CNN or read the “stories” they post online, it’s quite clear that it’s not just bias they are guilty of, but actual hatred for our president and for those of us who voted for him. My suggestion for this holdiday season is to NOT BUY PRODUCTS FROM THEIR ADVERTISERS! We can start with 3 that I have seen on their website this morning. Nordstrom, Cadillac and Pottery Barn. If our votes don’t count anymore, our dollars still do! Any other suggestions are great, but I definitely think focusing on a few at a time will be most effective.

If they cared about money more they wouldn’t run year after year after year after year money losing papers.

I’m not sure of the exact line in “Citizen Kane” when told the paper he was buying loses money.

But it was something along the lines of “in (ALOT) of years I’ll be broke”

In other words, he didn’t care.

Which paper is it that Bezos owns?

Do you think he CARES about lost revenue?

How the heck do those kickstarter or gofundme sites work?

Couldn’t we get MILLIONS together to start a paper for the people?

I’m sure they get funded by Soros and Steyer etc. as well. Bezos owns the Washington Post. I just can’t think of another way to stop this madness. I’m sure boycotting Amazon won’t work. People like it too much. They are an advertiser on CNN as well. Boycotting Nordstrom and Pottery Barn is a start at least. These CNN anchors get paid millions. We have to start somewhere.

You say “protectionist” like some subversive thing.

It’s not.

It is long, long overdue in fact.

I often wondered about this. I never understood people complaining about the MSM yet they continue to watch it! I would have a hard time bocotting them since I haven’t any idea who sponsors them but I will gladly boycott them!

You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. I have been pushing this message for 10 years. And it is the only power and tool we have left as a people to make a real difference.

The thing to remember is when advertisers are boycotted it can greatly apply pressure to change the message and agenda. Not only that it can greatly affect their shares in the stock market. Market shares GET ATTENTION.

Over the years I have witnessed this make a huge difference and get attention many times. But it has to be an organized focused mass effort.

Here is the problem, No one has the will or drive to do it. No one will seriously stand on principle with a backbone and follow it through. No one will give up a little convenience or their addictions long enough to make it work. No one will take the time and effort to even send an email let alone actually live without the product or service being boycotted.

Look at Facebook and Twitter... If every conservative quit right now their stocks would hit the ground and absolutely get their attention. But instead we complain about them as we keep logging in because it is so personally “convenient” or we are addicted and “can’t live” without it.

Focused serious email campaigns would definitely work. But just trying to get enough folks to make this little extra effort is futile. Too much Me, My, Mine to care. I know, because I have tried it many times over the last 10 years.

I wholeheartedly agree. I have tried as well. Especially when I was on Facebook. But it all falls on deaf ears because, as you say, it’s th convenience of the “ME” society we live in that it interferes with. But that is precisely what these mega-corporations and their leftist agendas bank on now. They have dumbed everyone down, and have gotten them addicted to their offerings. It must be organized and targeted. Perhaps a website. There is no other way. I shall endeavor to persevere and update. Hopefully with a website soon! At least for this week- NORDSTROM, POTTERY BARN, CADILLAC (yes General Motors, yes union employees- stop voting for what damages the country!!!) SPREAD THE WORD!!!

While republicans have been “holding ground” the democrats have been methodically taking over every strategic position of society. They control education, media, judicial positions, election boards, social media platforms, entertainment corporations, most major corporations, and most large city governments. That’s why when you look at maps after elections, democrats win the high population/ big city metropolitan areas, and conservatives win all the other large expanses of rural areas. So basically, the only things republicans “control” are large expanses of rural America. If democrats decide to exert all their resources, like it appears they are beginning to do now, how does the rural republican force respond?

I would like to see that and would help as much as I can with it. The only way there will ever be a difference will be to hit them in the pocketbook, and hard.

Keep in mind right from the start you have to find a good hosting contract that will protect your domain from being shut down as they like or have your own server. Because there WILL be pressure to do this immediately. Millions of dollars worth of effort to shut it down.

In fact it would be a huge advantage to set up a personal dial in server and BBS to organize communications rather than do it on the net.

I have spent thousands of hours investigating and researching information to produce lists to aim very focused and targeted email campaigns at. Only to have maybe 3 or 4 out of hundreds actually follow through on principle and actually click the send button.

Has enough happened yet to make folks actually care enough to participate and make this very needed effective effort?

Five ways that come to mind immediately ; 1)stop buying from big business- especially through Amazon . ESPECIALLY now that they are putting 2 headquarters in NYC and VA/DC areas, specifically because they want to INFLUENCE. *** Important to note that they are being given tax breaks to do so, but your business and mine are not!!!!!
2) Either do not attend or donate to certain colleges and universities- we all know they’re breeding grounds for propaganda but rely on $$$$. BOYCOTT THE IVY’s
3) drop Facebook
4) arm yourself- the second amendment was established specifically to protect against a tyrannical government.
5) research the banks and investment companies that are partners with corruption. There are those who are worse than others. And move your money to those who are not part of the leftist agenda. JPMorgan/Chase was FORCED to take Obama’s bailout $, even though they didn’t want or need it. They are more ethical than many others.

Huge reality you share here... This is indeed first and foremost now a City culture verses Country culture battle.

The only way to make a difference is to organize and bring Rural folks together as one powerful voice. Last year I spent a week checking into internet Rural organizations and they have all been hijacked by liberal treehuggers just like the hypocritical “Mother Earth News” is.

Boycotting the advertisers is a beginning. But, how do you know who the advertisers are if yo don't watch lib media. Boycotting lib media is a better idea. It is much more direct and there is no good reason why any conservative or Republican should be watching viewing them as well. Most viewers of old media are Republican from what I understand?!?!?

I’m all for canceling Amazon Prime. Nothing I NEED. It’s just convenience. I have watched CNN and MSNBC to see the depths of their propaganda. It is quite an eye opening experience these days. It will be easy enough to do that and create a list of advertisers.

Our side does well with BUYcotts, as Chickfila has shown. Unfortunately, we don’t do too well with boycotts. I hope that changes, because I agree with you.
