We moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico from Florida in 2006. We had been told that it rarely snows here and that, when it does, it is usually an inch or two that melts by the afternoon.
That winter (2006) there was a tremendous snowfall of 18” that took a week to melt.
According to the graph, that was the last time we had sun spot activity this low.
Oh yay.
Look for a blizzard...................
