Snipes is collecting a paycheck from State of Florida. The governor may not be able to fire her, but he surely can reform the voting system to make it more secure. He was governor for 8 years for crying out loud. And Snipes has previously violated Florida election law.

Are you telling me that an official of the State can not be replaced or at least sidelined after violation of Florida laws? If so, we are totally screwed.

NO SHE IS NOT, she is paid by the county of Broward. As for reforming the voting system, he has tried over and over. Look at the various law suits over the years. Scott has tried to get every county to purge their voting rolls of ineligible entries and the courts keep doing delays and allow county after county to avoid doing this.

Yes, Supervisor Snipes has been civilly admonished by a local judge for, prior to now 2016, violating the election laws. This is, obviously, not sufficient grounds for dismissal or to be set aside from office.

The one thing I do not know, and fault Gov.Scott for, is that there was, due to the 2016 Election Law violations, supposed to be an 'increased scrutiny' for this election. However, given that the local county law enforcement is under Sheriff David Israel (Douglas HS Shootings), any observer could be helpless without superior backup if a deputy bars him/her from the premisses.
