The good guys don’t employ child soldiers. ...............

I suppose that the Continental Army, by using soldiers who were kids by our modern standards were not the good guys. Children of 8 learning the basics of marksmanship, fire and maneuver, military organization and self confidence will be great soldiers by the time they are 16.

The U.S. Army had the odd 12 through 17 year old soldiers in both WWI and WWII. Weren’t they “good guys”?

BS.

Nobody under 17 was allowed to enlist, and even then they had to have parental permission.

You suppose wrong

The Continental Army didn’t employ 8 year olds

The one 12 year old in WWII snuck in

A few 15 year olds lied well

And 17 year olds like my father in law got permission and signed up

The youngest in Vietnam was 14/15....Danny Bullock was his name I think..a black kid who wanted to be a Marine....a hero of mine to be honest

But the poor lad only lasted three weeks in country

There are good reason civilized folk don’t fight with children ...or women for that matter
