President Trump has no interest in stopping him.
Mueller can spend the rest of his life investigating this nonsense if he wants. In fact, the GOP loss of the House gives the Trump administration a huge incentive to just leave Mueller alone. He can't be called to testify before a House committee if there's always an "ongoing investigation that can't be discussed in public" out there.
Honestly, I think the Democrats were hoping Trump would shut it down! Mueller doesn't seem to be finding much collusion and shutting him down would give the Democrats an opportunity to play the obstruction card.
