Is the bomb threat part of the cover up?
Wow, they are so Uniquely Stupid but I’m not sure BSO would pull a bomb threat to cover for ole Snipes. And the Avis drop-off is a shuttle bus ride away, not at the terminal. So I think it’s just a coincidence.

It could be coincidental. Also, BSO can close an airport if they observe a suspicious package or unattended luggage they suspect is possibly a bomb. First a verbal announcement is given. If the passenger does not respond quickly, they issue the code and work to safely remove the hazard.
FDL/Hollywood Airport is one of the most highly ranked airports for a terrorist attack in the USA. It was #3 for several years due to the 9/11 terrorists nearly all moving through there and it’s proximity to the port. There was a mass shooting there last year.
