Short List: 8 Potential ‘America First’ Candidates for Attorney General
Breitbart ^ | John Binder

As former Attorney General Jeff Sessions departed the Department of Justice (DOJ), a short list of potential replacements has surfaced in Washington, D.C.

Below, Breitbart News has compiled eight “America First” candidates for Attorney General.

Kris Kobach

Currently, Kobach is serving the last couple of months as Kansas’s Secretary of State. Kobach previously served as an adviser to President Trump on immigration, and most notably wrote Arizona’s SB 1070 law that made it a state crime to be in the country as an illegal alien.

...

Jeff Landry

Landry is Louisiana’s sitting Attorney General and the president of the National Association of Attorneys General. As a staunch conservative and ally of Trump, Landry encouraged then-AG Jeff Sessions to break up social media tech giants, saying “I think the companies are too big and they need to be broken up.” That would be a welcome sentiment to the Trump administration, which has railed against the censorship of conservatives online.

...

Matthew Whitaker

...

Judge A. Raymond Randolph

...

Lamar Smith

...

Ken Paxton

...

Patrick Morrisey

...

Jan Brewer

I’ve had my doubts about Lindsay Graham for years, but I see him now a someone who would support the constitution and have credibility with members of the Senate. SC Gov could appoint Nicky Haley to complete his term, and she’d be lined up for VP or even a presidential bid by 2024.

Landry or Paxton sound good. The rest are politicians and possibly Bush connected. The judge is a DC judge so he’s probably more politician than anything.

Paxton;
Warren Kenneth Paxton Jr.[1] (born December 23, 1962) is an American lawyer and politician who currently serves as the Attorney General of Texas since January 2015. Paxton is a Tea Party conservative.[2]

Lindsey is in line to be head of the Judiciary, I think he would be invaluable there. That is a spot that requires fearless leadership and has to be a fighter, especially with at least 2 more SCOTUS nominations coming in the next couple of years

Whoever Trump appoints, it should definitely NOT be a politician or former politician. The position requires brains, cojones, and energy...attributes not home in most politicians.

J Christian Adams - Formerly at the DOJ in the Civil Rights Division. Fired by Holder. Now working at ACLJ. Conservative, honest and has an ax to grind.

Kobach would be good. Wouldn’t have to worry about him being shy about enforcing the immigration laws.

In view of what you say, Trump should appoint Joe diGenova.

I would like to Kobach appointed to the FEC to investigate election fraud. Rather than look the other way at election corruption, we need a bulldog like Kobach to attack it.

Not Landry. You don’t want to bring Louisiana baggage to Washington. He would never get confirmed.

I like Whitaker so far....and I think he knows ‘where the bodies are buried’.

However, if the sealed indictments start to rain down, there may be openings for EVERT single person on this list. We need new blood at DOG & FBI.

Kobach’s #2 is election fraud and corruption right behind illegal immigration.

I thought I was voting for the governor of Kansas, NOT THE NEW ATTORNEY GENERAL !!

But I will take it. Even if the crowning achievement of the new Kansas democratic governor is a Masters degree in Therapeutic Recreation. The sacrifices we have to make for our country are worth it!

IF it is LESS than 200, I would be surprised.

This has gone on too long & has grown too DEEP.
