When a mob of left-wing Antifa activists descended Wednesday night on Fox News personality Tucker Carlsons D.C. home, it signaled a new phase in the political violence and angry confrontations that now are targeting the news media.
Political violence has been rising in the U.S. since 2012, according to the Global Terrorism Database. Increasingly aggressive activists have pushed political confrontation to the limit since 2016, accosting Republican lawmakers and Trump administration officials in restaurants and in the halls of Congress. And now theyre going after conservative journalists at their homes.
Tucker Carlson, we will fight. We know where you sleep at night! the activists allied with Antifa chanted outside Mr. Carlsons home.
Antifa is short of anti-fascist, though the group has anarchist leanings and targets anyone perceived as not in step with a far-left agenda.
Heres the problem. I have four children, Mr. Carlson, whose wife was home alone during the disturbance, told Fox News. I never thought twice about leaving them home alone, but this is the reaction because this group doesnt like my TV show.
On Capitol Hill, the overheated political debate has lawmakers increasingly working under a threat of violence.
Capitol police say they saw a surge in protective details assigned to lawmakers earlier in the fall, when senators were facing hallway protests during the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh.
Security details were assigned to at least two Republican senators on the Judiciary Committee, Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Jeff Flake of Arizona.
Security details typically are assigned only to members of leadership.
Senators have mostly been away from Washington since the Kavanaugh confirmation, and its not clear whether enhanced security will still be the norm.

Secret Service and DHS have no jurisdiction for this type of crime in DC. The DC Metropolitan PD does, but that’s not ensuring considering the poor leadership they have had re radicals and riots (due to poor planning and execution, the commies and anarchists have won millions in lawsuits over the past 50 years).
The mention of “mailbox bombs” could bring in DHS if they view this group as a national organization and threat (which they are). Hopefully the DC office of the FBI is still competent. I worked with them many years ago and they were real professionals. Hope leftist clowns like McCabe, Weissman, Strzok/Page and the Ohrs haven’t destroyed the field agents ability to do their job.
This is the only thing that will stop these scumbags.
Yes. They must be exposed and brought to justice.
Yes. It is not good in DC. In crisis it will be much much worse.
The bolsheviks are well financed. When four were killed at Kent state the left never stopped. They got more radical then became yuppies. However this time around that is not going to happen. The children and grandchildren demand blood. I also do not see how the escalation can be toned down. The dye is cast, as Suetonius said to Caesar
I find this rather odd since many antifa are anarchists. As we know anarchists hate government. In fact they want zero government so only the strong survive.
Well...from the looks of those linguini-armed soyboys...they won’t last long.
Well said.
“At this point in time, from what I have seen ob you tube videos, the Feds protect them.”
Well, the feds are doing a crappy job of “protecting.”

I don’t on an AR. Only thing I have of that caliber is my .221 Fireball pistol. Tack driver.
My favorite is a very old fashioned 30-30. Not long range, 30 caliber, cheap to reload, will shoot cast lead bullets in a pinch, 170 gr. is not light duty, extremely reliable, reload ammo on the fly, Great shooting out to to a couple of hundred yards. If loaded with FTX bullets range and fps can be significantly improved, approaching that of 30-06.
ComDems are truly evil. They serve the wrong master. Look at who and what they support. It is clear.
yep
