(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement in response to the resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, bringing an end to his controversial tenure as the nation’s top law enforcement officer:
I hope transparency and rooting out corruption and abuse becomes the focus of any new Attorney General. President Trump has been terribly victimized by Justice Department and FBI corruption. The Justice Department was a black hole in terms of transparency. It covered up institutional misconduct and, unbelievably, went out of its way to defend misconduct by Hillary Clinton and other Obama administration officials.
Now that President Trump has removed AG Sessions and appointed Mr. Whitaker as Acting Attorney General, I hope the new DOJ leadership ends the abusive Mueller investigation and finally does a serious prosecution of Clinton’s email crimes and other misconduct.
If their is any hope for Mr. Whitaker to do the right thing you wont believe the obstacles the Democrats and Justice Department will throw at him.If the truth came out I suspect there would be a major over haul of the whole Department.
The standing ovation given to that diminutive rat bastard by the radical leftist in charge of the DOJ was nauseating and very telling. See tagline
Whether Mueller stays or goes, at least do the Hillary investigation and prosecution.

The beauty of Sessions is that he worked behind the scenes, putting together the sealed indictments, and stayed out of the limelight.
THAT WAS WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO DO!
So if he appeared to be a bumbling idiot, he put on a great show.
And besides, if Trump hated Sessions so much why did he have Sessions' Chief of Staff to be the Acting AG?

President Trump should also fire all 93 of the U.S. Attorneys in the DOJ yesterday just like Clinton did.

Interestingly, President Trump refused to accept one resignation -- that of a guy who was then the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland: Rod Rosenstein.

I thought you gave up the ghost yesterday. Sessions didn't do anything behind the scenes. Sessions was recused. Trump told Sessions to leave. Sessions has now left.
What part of any of that don't you get??
