Various press organizations have decided to chime on the Trump administration's decision to revoke Jim Acosta's hard press pass on Wednesday night.
The White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) slammed the White House and encouraged them to reinstate Acosta's access in a statement:
The White House Correspondents' Association strongly objects to the Trump Administration's decision to use US Secret Service security credentials as a tool to punish a reporter with whom it has a difficult relationship. Revoking access to the White House complex is a reaction out of line to the purported offense and is unacceptable
Journalists may use a range of approaches to carry out their jobs and the WHCA does not police the tone or frequency of the questions its members ask of powerful senior government officials, including the President. Such interactions, however uncomfortable they may appear to be, help define the strength of our national institutions.
We urge the White House to immediately reverse this weak and misguided action.
We encourage anyone with doubts that this reaction was disproportionate to the perceived offense to the video of the events from earlier today.
The Reporters Committee For Freedom of the Press had a similar sentiment as the WHCA. Here's their press release:
The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, the nations premier defender of the legal rights of journalists, joins the White House Correspondents Association in vehemently objecting to the revocation of a CNN reporters access credentials. Journalists have a right to ask questions and seek answers on behalf of the American people.
This is clearly inappropriate and unprecedented punishment by the Trump administration for what it perceives as unfair coverage by the reporter, and White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders false description of the events leading up to it is insulting not only to the nations journalists, but to its people.
The founders of our country knew there would be tension between our leaders and our journalists. In fact, they designed our system that way, knowing that a free and assertive press is the best defense against tyranny.
We urge the White House to reconsider this overreach of power and to reinstate Jim Acostas credential immediately.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the Trump administration stands by their decision.
They don’t like something done by the Trump White House?
Unexpected.
Silencing the press, silencing the press. 1st amendment, 1st amendment. Censorship, censorship.
Nobody cares what you think WHCA. This piece of crap Acosta has repeatedly stepped over the line and was reprimanded for it.
Suck it up buttercups
Acosta needs psych help.
I saw the tape...
Reminder the WH belongs to the people, but whoever is the current occupant has every right to evict rude people at his house.
They lie.
There is video.
There are witnesses.
Talk about fake news.
The White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA)
...wonder who is financing this front?
He is a mic hog, takes over all the time. . .what confuses me is why the other reporters allow that to happen, that he deprives them of an opportunity to question the president. Instead of supporting him, it makes more sense the White House media would be all over acosta for being a selfish punk that stomps all over everyone else.
The press would have NEVER treated Obama with such blatant disrespect and outright hostility.
Maybe the “journalists” will start treating POTUS with the respect the office deserves.
Too bad, so sad
The media need to learn the hard way: we don’t like you and we refuse to treat you like the royalty you think you are.

One would think at J. Acosta is the only journalist in the US. Instead of asking a question, he attacks the President and does not allow the President to respond. Maybe some “time out in the corner” will change his attitude.
Poor Jane Acosta has her panties in a big wad.
President Trumps response should be simple: Get lost.
Dear Diary.....
Acosta needs psychedelic help.
Get him some shrooms STAT!
Do away with the White House Press Office altogether. That’ll teach them, and Trump has no problems getting time on Fox.
Ban them all. Invite only middle school newspaper kids to future pressers. They’re better behaved and would ask more pertinent questions.
