By producing a split decision, the election that was supposed to end all elections turned out to be fairly predictable. But it’s the day after that was unlike any other.
The Republican president, the likely speaker of the Democrat-controlled House and the Senate’s Republican majority leader each started Wednesday by talking about working together to get things done. They talked to each other privately and talked separately in public about what they thought they could accomplish for the country.
For most Americans, that would make for a very good day. Given the overheated environment leading up to the midterms and the fear among many that we are drifting toward an era of disunion and spreading political violence, bipartisan pledges to work together for the common good were like the sudden emergence of a bright candle flickering in the wind.
Alas, it was the last thing some members of the White House press corps wanted, so they tried to snuff it out.
The conduct of a handful of so-called reporters during President Trump’s news conference was disgraceful beyond measure. This is not journalism, this is narcissism.

Journalists are not supposed to be political debaters.
They are there to ask and find out facts, not to battle someone and defend a preconceived point of view.
Run for office and argue there-—not getting facts straight at a press conference.
No one cares what you think, Acosta. Maybe Van Jones or Don Lemon or your mommy. Maybe.
Ask them to sit down one time and if they don’t, have security escort them out. If they are going to act like 5 year olds, then they need to be treated as such.

Michael Goodwin made an excellent point: a journalist is never supposed to become the story himself. But that seems to be their goal now.
Acosta was not asking a question. He was trying to provoke and was basically doing one of the left’s “get in their faces” actions, as ordered by Obama. Nobody ever got in Obama’s face, and if they had, they would have been removed from the room immediately.
I looked up the Board members on a google search. Maybe they are all full of political correctness, since the movie industry is also owned by AT&T/ Time Warner. CNN must be their lost spoiled child.

The merger is still under appeal. AT&T has no say in CNN as of yet. Appellate arguments will be heard Dec 6th.
...while Time Warner has been rebranded WarnerMedia and has made a series of moves as it gets integrated into AT&T, the Turner Broadcasting unit has been kept in a silo removed from DirecTV or other distribution assets as part of an agreement struck at the time of the close.

We all know 95% of them hate Trump; that's not news. But if they fail to respond to reasonable requests they need to have consequences. Have security remove them and revoke their WH press pass. There are dozens and dozens of independent and foreign reporters who would LOVE to have a seat in the press room and would undoubtedly ask on point questions and do so respectfully. Give them a chance at the expense of the children who behave badly on a regular basis.
I can remember the press briefings in Singapore and Switzerland where the foreign reporters were asking pointed questions about the meeting at hand. And then they got to a handful of American press reporters asking stupid, off topic questions and causing disruptions. It was like night and day!
I can’t believe the left believes the video was doctored. They truly are insane!
But this makes complete sense to the Democrat/Left who live in a world separate from reality.

I liked it when Trump told April Ryan (essentially) to sit down and shut up. He would not accept her question. Why should Trump enable these glory hounds? F’em.
Fake News Jim Acosta is a useful sparring partner for PDJT. My projection is that he will be allowed back in a month or so.
