Republican Brian Kemp’s campaign declared victory Wednesday in the Georgia governor’s race, though Democrat Stacey Abrams insists that enough ballots remain to leave open the possibility of a runoff.The Associated Press has not called the contest.
Ryan Mahoney, a top Kemp campaign adviser, told reporters in a conference call that the numbers show Abrams can’t win and a runoff won’t happen — but stopped short of declaring victory until pressed by an Associated Press reporter. Only then did Mahoney say Kemp is certain of victory and preparing to take office in January.
“We are declaring victory,” Mahoney said. Another campaign official, Austin Chambers, added: “The message here is pretty simple: This election is over, and the results are clear.”

Abrams is a fat pig and this election never should have been this close.
When the democrats can force a run off or recount their success rate of winning is about 90%.

I think the runoff is a Georgia law, if the leader has less than 50% of the vote, then they do a runoff. Remember there are libertarian and other assorted minor candidates in elections. So Dems hope to get more votes so Kemp has less than 50% so they can redo this whole election in a few weeks.

So Abrams is only wanting to use the Democrat tactic of the day: obstructing the work of Republicans.
