I believe that was the Uniparty/deep state's plans- delay, dissemble, deflect. In 2016 Trump was new, and had no immediate allies within the bureaucracy, especially the DOJ, which is the political nerve center of Fed.gov. I still believe Trump was forced to settle for Sessions. RINOs in Senate would not have allowed anyone else.
Those who pegged Sessions as deep state, certainly have nothing to be bashful about. That’s for sure.
