Assault if the threat of confrontation; battery is actual touching. Splitting hairs. Picking nits. Back in the 50s & 60s, after assault and/or battery, bruising and black eyes were the standard. We’ve all become whiny PC libs.

So it was battery, not assault. Thank you for clarifying. I get that you think it’s OK for a guy to lay unwanted hands on a woman, but everyone doesn’t.
