The Fox News Decision Desk has determined that in Illinois, Democratic billionaire J.B. Pritzker will unseat Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner. He’ll become the richest governor in U.S. history.

After the democrats overrode his veto of the bloated budget that didn’t pass for years he must have realized House Speaker Mike Madigan is the real power in this state. Rauner just gave up and threw in his cards. He even voted to make Illinois a sanctuary state. He was nothing but a scapegoat for the $200 billion in unfunded union pension liabilities we don’t have.

Rauner was one of the worst. Good riddance. Not upset about BushBot NeverTrumper Barbara Comstock losing in VA either.
It’s too bad Chicago and Cook County can’t be its own state so the rest of the state can live with normal representation. Same with NYC and the county it sits in.
I think you have to actually do something to end up in jail.

You nailed it, the Democrat House Speaker Mike Madigan is the real governor of Illinois, not the figure head that runs in the slot marked “Governor”.
Illinois is the only state in the Union where their governors also make their license plates.

I feel sorry for the decent people in the red areas of Illinois being drug down by the dominating ‘RATS.
How many House seats flipped...went to CBS (or as I call it See BS) and they were giddy...Comstock voted out and CD-27 in Florida flipped... Did any flip D to R yet...
If I’m not mistaken, Illinois had the highest number of residents leaving the state of any of the states in the nation - hardly surprising, especially since anyone who wants to work in Chicago can easily commute from Wisconsin or Indiana.
Fat Boy will raise taxes in whatever fashion his handlers in the Chicago Machine wish, and that will largely target the productive high-earners, many of whom will then leave the state.
Bottom line - the only real question is the best bet for the over/under on the timing for the end game on the resulting economic death spiral.
