There’s a LOT of proof out there. Visit a natural history museum or a dig site. Go to the Grand Canyon. Explore the canyon walls in detail; layer after layer. It was not put down in one great flood—it is millions of years of flooding water cutting through the rock, which has many layers of texture and strength; some easy to erode, others tough as, well, rock.

In any case, the Bible does NOT say HOW God created creation—just that he did. The proof of HOW, therefore, is in the observing, not believing.

As far as the fossil record goes, I would ask you to go out into the woods or nearby forests in your area and bring back a dead (not roadkill—too easy) animal carcass, skeleton or even bone. We know the woods abound with deer, squirrels, bears, rabbits, mice, etc., etc., but finding a dead one is rare. Basically any dead animal in the forest is quickly consumed, the bones scattered, or even themselves eaten by creatures or microbes. After a few months, not a trace is left. Compound this for those few remains that don’t utterly disappear and then last for MILLIONS of years? Very rare.

So for every creature God evolved from one to the other over the eons, in His way, little evidence remains.

God made us like Him—smart, intelligent—above all other creatures. He didn’t expect us to linger in the stone age or agrarian village, but excel and change the world through our knowledge and technology.

Ask yourself this: If we aren’t smart enough to understand how slowly things like stone can age and wear away, how could we ever make buildings and bridges that would last? The principles of science and engineering comes from us studying and understanding the world God put us in. We are smart enough to figure things out. He is not opposed to that, so long as we keep our Faith in Him.

Following the science that is evolution does not make one disbelieve God.

Guys, Guys, Guys!

I don't believe evolution and “survival of the fittest” are quite the same thing, but they may cross lines.

If there were a millions times as many species and varieties down through the millenia, certain ones most certainly would have gone extinct. For example, bright red lizards probably had a short run, due to birds finding them, but their green/camouflaged cousins are probably still around.

Were they green or red in the first place, or was there a “mutation” (maybe caused by radiation) that caused the different pigmentation? That's not too hard to swallow, but nevertheless in this example...they were still lizards.

Crocs and gators are still around, mostly unchanged since the dinosaurs, somehow they survived the ice age. Others....not so much.

Do I believe we evolved from single cell organisms?

I find that to be a stretch, but having seen photographic evidence of zillions of galaxies from the Hubbel telescope....it's not real far-fetched to think that we may have been...”populated”.

So you are fine with after 200 years there actually is no fossil proving a transitionary species and give me a bunch of I am not smart enough to understand evolution and need to go dig for myself. Same old you are a heretic argument for daring to challenge science. I remember when science welcomed challenging theories, not anymore due to politics.

After 200 years and the scientist who proves it will be famous forever and nobody has found a single fossil. There is only one conclusion, there have been no species that have changed to another species which means evolution never happened. With billions and billions of species needed to transition there should be billions of fossils buried in the ground without being killed by predators.

You are using the old tactic of calling adaptation evolution which are two different things. Why can't you even consider the possibility evolution could be false and it has caused untold misery throughout the world?

So are you saying God created the earth and then the earth created life the rest or did he have anything to do with that too and everything just randomly happened?

Takes far less faith to believe in God when you look at a hummingbird than random chance than all of the questions it raises about bumble bees and pollination. Which came first the bumble bee or the apple tree? You cannot have one without the other.
