There are many believing Christians who do not agree with you on evolution. Who says God didn’t use evolution to create life?
And while Genesis Chapter 1 says: “13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.” (after God made plant life), consider this scripture also (2 Peter 3:8):
“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
The point is, the Bible says God created life; it does not explain the science of how he did this—or magic, if that is what you wish to believe, but that he did.
The Scripture from 2 Peter is there to remind us believers (Beloved) that God is not constrained by our conception of time—He exists out of time, as He created time in the first place.
You cannot divide people as evolution believers = Liberals, and 6000 year old young Earth advocates = Conservatives. It just isn’t true.
I have an extensive background helping out various archeological and fossil digs by Auburn University in Alabama. I have seen amazing things. If anything, what I have observed and studied reinforces the certainty that the Earth is extremely old, and to me, this enhances my faith, and certainly doesn’t detract from it.
Now, I say this in friendship with you. Disagreement does not equal hatred or disrespect.
I always admire your writings and essays, I just disagree that evolution = Not God.
No disrespect but can you give me one piece of concrete evidence evolution happened? One fossil or experiment where they caused a species to turn into another?
I need proof.

Even for me, when I really struggle with taking the account of creation in Genesis literally.
However, I have NO struggle with the opening verses of John’s gospel:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and life was the light of men.”
This IS the Word of the Lord. Thanks be God!
A very good point - and add to that that the Seven deadly sins have been with us since God created man. History - Greek specifically has shown many writings on the the Good, the Bad and the Ugly that is Man
