Why it’s still in Russia’s interest to mess with US politics

Sweeping accusations that the Kremlin tried to sway the 2016 U.S. election haven’t chastened Russian trolls, hackers and spies — and might even have emboldened them.

U.S. officials and tech companies say Russians have continued online activity targeted at American voters during the campaign for Tuesday’s election, masquerading as U.S. institutions and creating faux-American social media posts to aggravate tensions around issues like migration and gun control.

Russia denies any interference. So far U.S. authorities haven’t announced any huge hacks or the kind of multipronged campaign suspected in the 2016 election, and it’s hard to judge whether the more recent Russian actions have any link to the Kremlin or will have any electoral impact.

But why do they appear to be at it again? Dozens of Russians suspected of meddling in 2016 have been hit with U.S. charges or sanctions, including well-placed magnates. Moscow’s ties with the West have deteriorated badly amid ever-more-shocking allegations of Russian interference abroad.

And some argue that Russian meddlers don’t need to mess with the U.S. midterms this year because they got what they wanted in 2016: Donald Trump in the White House and mass disillusionment with the democratic process. …

Wrong ocean. Our actual enemy lies across the Pacific. Those across the Atlantic, Black and Red Seas, or landlocked, would merely be tagalongs.

Fake election interference from Russia. Actual election interference from Google and Twitter banning Republican candidate’s ads.

Sweeping accusations that the Kremlin tried to sway the 2016 U.S. election

But no actual proof that added subtracted or changed one single vote in that election!
Silly people acting like Russia or China or the United States never tried to influence each others election before 2016!

The reason why it’s stupid to interfere in elections is that your guy may lose, and then things are ugly.

For example, in a horrific case, The Zionist Entity (as the Palestinians call Israel) was forced to congratulate Barrack H. Obama for his 2008 victory over Senator John McCain.

Fortunately for The Zionist Entity they stayed neutral in 2008, which at least kept most US aid flowing.

BS!!!

The only people whose interest its in are the Globalists-the Soros paymasters.

Soros is paying individual Russians to screw around like this generating the blowback onto Putin they’ve been trying to engineer for twenty years.

saw a joke piece on Russia Today yesterday about RussiaRussiaRussia.

at the end, the woman said the only way to know Russia didn’t interfere in the mid-terms will be if the Democrats win! it was very funny.

Is it possible at all that the Russians could do, or know how to do, anything beyond what the democrats have already done a million times?

Or what the Chinese are currently doing? And not to mention illegals from Mexico and all over the world.

The only reason the Russians have to meddle is to get rid of Trump and his supporters. Trump is whacking them economically, BIGLY.

The U.S. intelligence community and the Pentagon have quietly agreed on the outlines of an offensive cyberattack that the United States would unleash if Russia electronically interferes with the 2018 midterm election on Nov. 6, according to current and former senior U.S. officials who are familiar with the plan.

In preparation for its potential use, U.S. military hackers have been given the go-ahead to gain access to Russian cybersystems that they feel is needed to let the plan unfold quickly, the officials said.

Officials say the new Trump cyberoperations order, National Security Presidential Memorandum 13 (NSPM 13), is designed to allow Defense Secretary James Mattis and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats to approve retaliatory strikes without the approval of others in the government, and in certain cases without White House approval.

It replaces an Obama-era executive order that required more extensive review before cyberweapons could be used offensively, called Presidential Policy Directive 20 (PPD 20).

Boy the AP has gone full conspiracy mode. Or maybe the Russians have hacked the AP. I’d suspect DU has hacked AP not the Russians.
